Board rules

These rules are disclosed to clarify the various responsibilities of all community members here on Raiderstation. They shall be adhered to by everyone to ensure that our board runs smoothly and provides a fun and productive experience for all of our community members and visitors.

  1. Forum Rules and Guidelines

    Post Content Rules
    1. Keep it Respectful: Avoid vulgar, offensive, or inappropriate content. Excessive violations may result in suspension without warning.
    2. Prohibited Topics: No discussions on politics, religion, or pornography. This is a football-focused message board.
    3. No Discrimination: Discussions involving racism, homophobia, religious prejudice, nationalism, or targeting mental/physical disabilities are strictly prohibited, including slurs or suggestions of bias.
    4. No Personal Attacks: Focus on the post, not the poster. Personal attacks, including comments like "you don’t know football" or impersonating others, are not allowed. Do not retaliate against attacks—report them to moderators.
    5. No Trolling: Posts intended to provoke, mock, or disrupt conversations may lead to warnings or bans. Moderators will assess patterns or egregious cases.
    6. Descriptive Thread Titles: Use clear, relevant thread titles to avoid duplicates. Misleading titles may result in thread deletion or loss of thread creation privileges.
    7. Avoid Repetition: Repeatedly posting the same argument across threads is disruptive. Make your point once and move on.
    8. Stay On Topic: Keep posts relevant to the thread. Off-topic content may be moved or deleted.
    9. No Spamming: Do not post the same content (arguments, links, memes) across multiple threads. Post count spamming (e.g., one-word replies, smilies) is not allowed.
    10. No Thread Bumping: Avoid reviving old threads without adding new, meaningful information. Generic comments like "what do you think now?" are insufficient.
    11. No Fake News: Posting false or misleading information, including fake tweets or altered articles, is prohibited. Support claims with linked sources, state opinions clearly, or rely on common knowledge.
    12. Private Messages (PMs): Discussion of PMs in public forums is not allowed. Report offensive PMs to moderators. PMs must follow the same rules as posts (no attacks or trolling).
    Registration and User Rules
    1. Appropriate Usernames: Offensive usernames will result in an immediate ban.
    2. Appropriate Avatars: Use football-related or non-offensive images. Graphic or offensive avatars are prohibited.
    3. One Account per User: Multiple accounts are not allowed. Contact a moderator to change your username.
    Spam and Copyright Rules
    1. No Advertising: Solicitations, chain letters, or promotional content are prohibited.
    2. No Solicitation or Fundraising: Do not promote, sell, or solicit products, and do not request donations, fundraising, or crowdfunding of any kind.
    3. Cite Sources: Include original links when quoting articles.
    4. No Blogspam: Repeatedly posting links to non-reputable sites is not allowed.
    5. No Illegal Content: Posting links to NFL game streams or content violating intellectual property rights is prohibited.
    6. Protect Privacy: Do not share others’ email addresses or phone numbers.
    Reporting Posts
    1. How to Report: If you encounter a post or private message that violates these rules, use the "Report" button (indicated by an exclamation mark) located on the post. Alternatively, send a private message to a moderator with a link to the offending post and a brief description of the issue.
    2. What to Include: When reporting, provide a clear reason for your report (e.g., personal attack, off-topic, or spam). This helps moderators address the issue efficiently.
    3. Do Not Retaliate: Avoid responding to rule-breaking posts directly. Reporting to moderators ensures proper handling without escalating conflicts.
    4. Confidentiality: Reports are handled discreetly by moderators. Do not discuss reports publicly in the forum.
These rules ensure a respectful and engaging community. Violations may result in warnings, suspensions, or bans at the moderators’ discretion. Contact a moderator with any questions. #
