Tay Train still hasn't gotten his apologyThe Real CK wrote: Tue Oct 21, 2025 6:38 am Mark signed Lynch as a sop to Oakland. He didn't fit with the team either personality wise or scheme. We should have kept Murray instead, who gelled perfectly, could catch passes, and pounded home 12 TDs (nine from inside the four-yard-line) in 2016. Both Lynch and Murray were around the same yearly salary after 2016.

BoKnows81 wrote: Tue Oct 28, 2025 4:48 pm How is it not within reality? I couldn't stand AP (he was garbage) but Pete Carroll at 73 years old and 7 games in, has single handily made the team worse and looks to be the worst coach in the league right next to Aaron Glenn. So, even if Pete is as equally bad now as AP was, that to me is within reality and legit argument worthy. It took longer than 7 games for AP to lose the locker room going back to when he was interim. Just saying. It is a fair statement (and one that i made upon the initial hire) that Pete needed to prove himself on the Raiders after being away from the game and now 73 years old. And he is failing miserably. His past is 100% irrelevant.
Exactly where I’m at. Keep Spytek. Let him GM. And for God’s sake, no more old retread Head Coaches. Carroll’s insistence on keeping his no-talent sons on the sideline is a final straw for me. Chip? Chip just don’t have it. We’d have as hard a time stuffing the roster to prop him up as we did Carr.raider_kin wrote: Sun Nov 16, 2025 8:22 am Keep Spytek, give him a chance. And final say on coaches and players. No more HC/GM hybrids, ever.
I had written before there’s a Head Coach avenue that the NFL hasn’t “spammed” yet, but it’s slowly getting there. Just like when the trend du jour was raiding Sean McVay’s cupboards.
Head Coaches in the NFL that have spent at least a season as strictly TE coaches in the NFL or College…
John Harbaugh BAL
Ben Johnson CHI
Kevin Stefanski CLE
Brian Schottenheimer DAL
Dan Campbell DET
Sean McVay LAR
Btw, Andy Reid spent 4 years as TE Coach and Assistant Offensive Line Coach with the Packers.
Interesting to note, Dan Campbell not only helped Ben Johnson, a former TE Coach, find his way to being Head Coach, but his offensive coaching positions are littered with guys who were TE coaches.
Guys who were former TE Coaches I’d grab some interviews with…
Tommy Rees, Browns. Promoted from TE Coach to OC this year by Kevin Stefanski, Head Coach and former TE Coach.
Nick Caley, Texans. Promoted to OC from TE Coach this year. Coached TEs for 7 years for the Patriots and Rams.
Nate Byham (dark horse candidate), Stanford. Promoted to OC this year, but is also the TE Coach. Was an NFL TE in the NFL for 4 years.
A shame Doofus would never get enough synapses to spark beneath that ridiculous bowl cut to come up with this train of thought himself. Holy Hell that man needs to f[raiders_icon]cking go.

His boy Geno is absolute DOG SHIT game after game.... and his Oline is probably the worst in the NFL, with his dumbf[raiders_icon]ck of a son collecting paychecks for nothing

I’ve seen enough of Pete, his kid and Geno. Kelly may not last the season but none of these guys can be back next season. I see no point in running Pete back. He looks old and in over his head trying to coach this team. I actually think they were better coached last season by a guy that’s probably never gonna be a head coach again in the NFL. As I said, in another thread, every Davis hire is worse than the one before. I really think Davis will one day build an 0-17 team as I’m sure the next hire will be worse.

Ideally he'd of been let go after the KC game but after last night their should be no doubt in anyone's mind the man needs to be let go. From last Thursday to last night if that was all you and the other baffons could do to prepare for that game you should be fired.

Hire Alec Halaby to replace Spytek and go from there. Let him hire his own HC. Will have to break the bank to get him, but I think he would be worth it.

Agree. Just hire SOMEBODY and tell them 'build the team from Head coach on down."RI RAIDER wrote: Tue Nov 18, 2025 7:11 am Hire Alec Halaby to replace Spytek and go from there. Let him hire his own HC. Will have to break the bank to get him, but I think he would be worth it.

That's fine but Mark has given the hc final say the last two hires, minus AP, and seem to have given Pete control tooraider_kin wrote: Tue Nov 18, 2025 7:41 am Agree. Just hire SOMEBODY and tell them 'build the team from Head coach on down."

I don't want Mark making any kind of football decisions. Just sign the checks. That's it. He may own the team but he's not a football person.Hellbound wrote: Tue Nov 18, 2025 4:42 pm That's fine but Mark has given the hc final say the last two hires, minus AP, and seem to have given Pete control too

That's what we all want. Unfortunately he's proving that he's just like his father without the football knowledgeOaktownonly wrote: Tue Nov 18, 2025 4:46 pm I don't want Mark making any kind of football decisions. Just sign the checks. That's it. He may own the team but he's not a football person.

Agree. Funny that he said, paraphrasing here, I know what I don't know & I'll hire ppl to do that stuff. Then this motherf[raiders_icon]cker turns around and acts like his dad hiring & firing everyone every other year. Too bad he's a f[raiders_icon]cking dipshit and his dead dad still knows more about football than he doesRainman56 wrote: Tue Nov 18, 2025 4:48 pm Mark hasn't made a good hire yet.....Year after year he fk's up.....Now he has a GM,for better or worse let him do the job you hired him for and stay the fk outta the way.![]()
