The Raiders can compete on offense with a fa #1WR, 2 fa OL men and a 2nd round olineman.
So any picks we get for Maxx would go to defense.
So we get 2 picks and it's unknown if those picks will equal Crosby's production.
A bird in the hand is worth more than 2 draft picks in the bush.

I know that Glazer backpedaled on his post that Maxx wanted to be traded, but I think he probably does want to be traded - he is uncharacteristically silent about the Raiders' head coach and I think that's intentional.
However, he'll perform the same way for the Raiders even if he would have preferred getting traded because he doesn't know how to give anything less than 100%. So if you don't get an offer that is just too good to pass up then you just keep him. And I don't care where Maxx, or any other player, wants to play. If you're trading him then you trade him to the team that offers the most.

This is easier if he was not a trenches player.
If you get a haul for a WR, it’s easy to lose the WR to build your trenches.
This would be losing a trenches player with the immediate need to build our trenches. As such, the haul needs to be significant (two 1sts and a 3rd) and we have to build our trenches somewhat with that draft capital.

I couldn’t care less what Maxx thinks. He threatened to demand a trade if AP was retained and that blew up. He was squirrelly when Pete was hired. Then he posted a video of him playing basketball when they IR’d him with the intent of damaging their draft position and then ended up having surgery on his knee. He’s a jerk and I hope they trade him to the Rams. He’s a jerk; he DivaAnte Adams deserve each other.chucker wrote: Fri Feb 06, 2026 7:04 am I know that Glazer backpedaled on his post that Maxx wanted to be traded, but I think he probably does want to be traded - he is uncharacteristically silent about the Raiders' head coach and I think that's intentional.

Have any players made a fuss about Kubiak? Maxx is doing what the org is doing and not talking until there is a signature on a contract.chucker wrote: Fri Feb 06, 2026 7:04 am I know that Glazer backpedaled on his post that Maxx wanted to be traded, but I think he probably does want to be traded - he is uncharacteristically silent about the Raiders' head coach and I think that's intentional.

^^^ Also interesting use of the word "IS" my home.." As in "is currently my home". Guess we'll see before long.
And when you get right down to it, it's not Maxx's decision to make...but instead, it's the Raiders' decision.

I don’t think Maxx is going anywhere unless they get a true kings ransom… there’s really no need to trade him… he’s the true leader on the team we have a ton of cap space and seem to have finally got the coach right and franchise QB is seems. Also tired of this whole narrative by the media saying Oh poor Maxx wasting away in Vegas give him what he deserves and send him to a contender. Crosby has made tens of millions of dollars, him and his family are financially set for life while he plays the game he loves… it’s fine you were pissed to be shut down the last two games of the season but it is what it is… better than going out and tearing an acl in a meaningless game against the chiefs practice squad

I don't know man, I think that is a Kubiak thing. If he wants him, he will stay unless Spytek overrides that. It sounds like the power resides with Spytek but I cannot imagine a GM not truly working with his coach.nmonte374 wrote: Fri Feb 06, 2026 12:58 pm I don’t think Maxx is going anywhere unless they get a true kings ransom… there’s really no need to trade him… he’s the true leader on the team we have a ton of cap space and seem to have finally got the coach right and franchise QB is seems. I'm ok trading him if we can get two firsts or so but he is literally decked out in raiders gear. Stop analyzing everything he says like you're trying to find out why your date never texted you back.

I don’t know if it’s in this thread or not but it’s worth listening to Max on the cowherd show today. I don’t think he wants to go anywhere. I also don’t think a new rookie coach coming in would like to get rid of his best defensive player. Barring something strange happening I think Max will be here.

You know the kid in the supermarket losing their shit on the floor with two fistfuls of the candy aisle strewn about them? That shit happens from bad parents who hit the ceiling everytime their kid says, “jump”.
We’ve had one of the worst owners in sports. Besides Doofus being stupid, he’s been a “player’s owner”. Big Al knew. Knew the only place he belonged in football was retail. Knew he’d side with the player. Knew he was soft as Charmin and none to bright.
If Maxx leaves it’ll be because the Raiders have finally gotten the power structure correct. He won’t be able to say, “jump” and get the reaction he’s use to. Won’t be able to get that candy by throwing a fit.
Man up Maxx, or hit the road. And try just a sprinkling of strong and silent every once in a f[raiders_icon]cking while. Even at the cost of your “brand”.

I would trade him for what would become Jordyn Tyson and Ioane Vega in a heartbeat.
