You know when you entertain keeping a guy like Maxx? If you bring in a Mike Tomlin, John Harbaugh or Robert Saleh at HC. You think Klint Kubiak gives a f[raiders_icon]ck about having Maxx Crosby? This is where I disagree. Kubiak is becoming the HC, so he now cares about the entire team. As an OC, he has studied defenses. So he knows what a good defensive player can do and how he looks to neutralize that player. As a HC, his job is now to figure out how to max out a good defensive player.

If our HC does not give a damn about his defensive players and is only focused on his QB he is a shit HC and should not have the job.

And to your point, are you saying if its Klint's decision to trade Maxx, which let's be honest, the way the Raiders do things, they could of given him more power than we think, he's then a shit HC? No doubt Mendoza was a big reason Kubiak is coming, but there’s other things that might have prevented him from coming, as in cap hell and very little in terms of draft capital.

No, I think it is a collaborative decision. I certainly think Maxx came up during the interview process and that was mapped out. I think that Spytek makes the final decision but I do think the HC is a significant voice in the room and that is a correct path. What I am saying is while Kubiak was certainly brought in with Mendoza in mind and obviously the high picks and large amount of spending money, the defense was certainly discussed and was also part of the decision making process. And if you have to talk about the entire team, Maxx was discussed in big part because of his talent. I also do not think his personality or his influence was a factor. That was done under a different regime and when Doofus had more control.

Bottom line with me, if I am Kubiak, I want as many talented players as I can get across the spectrum. Take that as you will.

Well I'm going with he's a HC he will care not only about Maxx but the D as whole to. Seattle is very well balanced and most likely would have been knocked out if their D was the Raiders. I'm pretty sure he has the gray matter to understand how great teams are built. Yeah starting with the QB is key, but it's going to take the whole squad to get you where you want to go. Or Klint can relive Dan Marion and Dan Fouts all over again.

Anyone could have known that he was upset, posting the video he did, it didn't take a leak, but adding to the fact, Pete spoke openly about Maxx being upset and leaving the facility. It wasn't really a secret.

I don't believe in the history of the NFL a head coach made a decision based on who was the defensive end. This job is light years more appealing than last. I am sure Maxx has been discussed but so has Bowers, Jeanty and the other playmakers.

Next week will be interesting. I would give my left nut for this organization to land Jim Schwartz. When is the last time that this team and a top tier defensive coordinator? We had John Fox for a short period of time and Willie Shaw did some good things while he was here for a cup of coffee.
