...not a cap guy, but that would seem like a 'plus'.....mstrbass2000 wrote: Tue Mar 10, 2026 2:31 pm thats correct "we got big money falling off the books next yr (dead cap space) " raiders are poised to have a shitload of cap space going forward

I like that all these contracts so far except Linderbaum can be exited from after two seasons. We have plenty of money this year and next but we can move on if needed to retool as contenders

We still need an OG, OT, RB, Edge, NT and FS.
WE still have around 25 million. It would have been nice to have grabbed Edwards at 15 million and Chaisson at 9 Million. At least push for Chaisson. If Mauigoa or Fano are available at 14, that's the pick. If not Peter Woods. Might even be able to trade down 3 slots and still get him. ROT or DT/NG with 2nd pick. OG with 3rd round pick. FS, RB, and either a CB or project QB in the 4th round. Kicker in the 5th round.

I know, but we added 8 guys and the cheapest one was 8 million.Goodtimes333 wrote: Tue Mar 10, 2026 12:23 pm Some of those contracts had good chunks of cap placed next year. The Raiders had 130 million essentially to start with.

Think once all the contract get officially signed today; then we might have a better idea on what is happening regarding the salary cap; their no way we can still have 70 million to spend on players; out of the top my head I think the raiders spent well over 60 to 70 million on players Monday

When it comes to those free-agent deals, Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer reports that the Raiders do intend on honoring all of the signings they made and the nixed trade with Baltimore will not impact them.
"Source: The Raiders will honor all the agreements they made with free agents —both their own and the incoming guys—over the last 48 hours, despite the stunning developments of last night," Breer reported.
