another good point, W, as despite knowing that Hendrickson was probably getting a bit-desperate after limited interest for the $$$ he wanted, I hope to hell this influence some future free agents when considering the ravens as a potential home, and especially when it is an apples to apples choice for their next place to play. ...they deserve that much....

I just can't see a better use of our pick for our 2nd that to do this, based on the draft and what is expected to be there at that pick...and especially with a deep d tackle draft to have waiting for the next pick or picks...though I know it could also depend on if we fill that void at safety beforehand....

Tyler Linderbaum's guarantees: Linderbaum's three-year, $81 million deal with the Raiders includes $60 million fully guaranteed at signing. But the remaining $21 million -- his 2028 salary -- is guaranteed against injury and converts to a full guarantee on the third day of the 2027 league year (next March). So unless the Raiders want to cut him before then and pay him $60 million for one season, he'll make the whole $81 million. The deal includes a $20 million signing bonus; the Raiders generally don't give signing bonuses, since they don't want to be on the hook for dead money if they have to cut a player. But the size and structure of Linderbaum's deal make it exceedingly unlikely that he'll be cut, so no harm in giving him the signing bonus.
