2026 Draft - Raiders & all teams (April 23-25)
Obvious Mendoza #1 no consideration of trading that pick.
But who you got picks 2 - 4 thats going to help Mendoza.
#2 Raiders should be able to select WR Chris Bell or WR KC Concepcion with our early 2nd.
#3 I forget who it was, but someone here mentioned that the best pure dominant RT coming out of college could be got in the 3rd. And stated hes played his whole career at RT, and not being moved around the line.
Sounds like solid gets
Id hope the rest of the draft is building the trenches, with maybe 1 DB in there
Who else you like ?

It could be argued we already have this receiver on our team in Thornton.mstrbass2000 wrote: Fri Apr 10, 2026 10:38 am https://www.nfldraftbuzz.com/Player/Chr ... -WR-Tulane
love this kid...tall,fast and explosive, needs to add about 15 lbs and play more physical
Yes, he did not have the college numbers Brazzell had but they are almost identical in size and speed. I would prefer Bernard, possibly even in the 3rd round and have Kubiak and company take Thornton who has already played a year in the league and make something of him.

Unfortunately, lack of production rarely ever translates into the NFL. Thornton will be replaced.16 to 88 wrote: Fri Apr 10, 2026 12:33 pm It could be argued we already have this receiver on our team in Thornton.

I think we could have as few as 6 OL in the first round and as many as perhaps 9 but I would seriously bet the under with 8.5 as your line marker.
I also think there will be 2 or 3 wideouts but would take the over since teams love taking wide receivers in the first round. 2QBs as a firm line. DL will be interesting as will DBs. I know one RB will go high, I do not see a second one in the first.
I gotta be honest, with the lack of more top end QBs this draft may play out far more like teams just grabbing talent than teams taking positions that artificially elevate.

I like Cooper a lot as a player but the familiarity with Mendoza (for all Indiana guys) is WAY overblown. Mendoza played there one season. He will become plenty familiar with the guys on the roster or drafted from other schools. All that matters is they can play.BoKnows81 wrote: Fri Apr 10, 2026 10:18 am Yes, and I'm on record stating that I believe the payoff would be worth it. IMO, familiarity with his #1 WR is a huge deal for Mendoza and would benefit the Raiders greatly.

Maybe overblown to you but I highly doubt it's overblown to Mendoza. If a team has the rare luxury of adding a franchise QB while having a shot to add their #1 WR, that's not overblown at all. I get it was 1 year but that was a hell of a year.DanKD wrote: Fri Apr 10, 2026 1:36 pm I like Cooper a lot as a player but the familiarity with Mendoza (for all Indiana guys) is WAY overblown. Out of curiosity can anyone name any great QB to WR combo at the NFL level who also played together at the same time in college?
I can think of Burrow and Chase but wondering if any others

Like I said though, the opportunity is rare.

I like Cooper so dont hate the idea with him but taking a mid talent just because he played with Mendoza seems dumb. I dont like the idea of trading up to mid 1st round though cost is way too high

Oh if we're talking about Sarratt as a mid round talent, I completely agree. That would feel forced. Esp since we have a similar player on the roster in Bech.DanKD wrote: Fri Apr 10, 2026 1:52 pm I like Cooper so dont hate the idea with him but taking a mid talent just because he played with Mendoza seems dumb. I agree. It would be a nice addition to get for Mendoza but I wouldn't pay too high a price to get it done. Plenty of holes to fill that would help the team. I guess it depends how far players we want fall.DanKD wrote: Fri Apr 10, 2026 1:36 pm I like Cooper a lot as a player but the familiarity with Mendoza (for all Indiana guys) is WAY overblown.
