if ever get a chance when it comes on espn watch, Wolf says it, talks about it on camera

also safe to say everyone wanted Marino in hindsight. Don't know how many wanted him before, sure Wolf did and a number of Raider FO, but Raiders had Marc Wilson who Al had just picked a few years earlier. If Al wasn't so involved with lawsuit against the NFL a lot are sure Al would have picked Marino since he was the type QB Al loved, throwing the bomb
al picked fights to pick fights, not smart business at all and it costed the raiders dearly ...all across the spectrum from personnel to coaching,to business teh raiders as an organization lost long term

trey zuhn should be given a chance to man the rt spot...which could be his best position, played his butt off and graded as the top blocking lt in college while playing vs the sec

Zuhn has excellent grades for pass blocking, and terrible grades for run blocking. Is there any more info on why his run grade was so bad? Are the Raiders concerned about that? Last year was so painful to watch Jeanty get hit behind the LOS on every run play. I understand it's a different blocking scheme, but at some point don't your interior linemen have to block straight ahead and push defenders back?

I think our new o-line coach will be able to work on that. I really do trust this scouting department much more than any other crew we have had.

The cocksucker staff last year genuinely thought Cappa would be a better option. To be straight forward I trust JPJ being level headed far more than I trust anything about that staff. Jackson needs to stay healthy

That makes sense.
Tell him he's an OG and prime backup to Kolton.
If you draft him as a LT then you would need to ask him to slide to gaurd.

Sounds better the first way.

Translation from LT and C to guard to me seems a pretty easy move. But what do I know, I did not give this draft a D-

islandboy wrote: Mon Apr 27, 2026 7:53 am I know why you refer to Don as Dan, but it really has nothing to do with then comparison of Zuhn to Mosebar.

We can live in the present and see the similarities between Mosebar and Zuhn and hope Zuhn turns out to be 1/2 as good as Mosebar was. If he is half as good as Mosebar then we have something on the Oline.

Or we can whine and complain because Al decided on Don over Dan and it will no impact on the Zuhn pick or his future.

We can real old school and compare Zuhn to Steve Sylvester since both are adept at playing all 5 positions on the OL. If Zuhn plays as long and effectively as Steve Sylvester it is a good pick.

If you don’t know who Steve Sylvester is let me or one of the really old OGs and we can tell you about him.
It was a joke dude, chill the f[raiders_icon]ck out.

offseason you know, get it

I have a lot of respect for Mosebar, the man was a very good player for the Raiders.

and unless you are an OG that goes back to day 1 of the Raiders then don't talk OG to me. And even if you are an OG that goes back that far, still chill the f[raiders_icon]ck out, it was a joke.

shit croggety old f[raiders_icon]cks can't tell a joke when its right there.

Oh bless your heart.,,.I will chill the F out for your sake.

It does seem like you take your self appointed OG status very seriously so I won’t provoke you so won’t have to ring the buzzer to get your Depends changed.

Cheers!!! This is me chillin out…

Wasn't thrilled with the pick originally, but only because I'm a dumbass. I won't take credit for this comp, I saw it posted elsewhere and can't find the original tweet:

The encouraging thing about this, is Zuhn is very highly rated by pff, but his athletic profile is elite and in line with another top player at his position. There's a lot of reason to be positive about this pick.

zuhn played in teh sec against the best as a left tackle and kicked ass (highest rated for blocking) why move him inside when its easier to move him to right tackle a huge need
