Training wheels come off, it is time to make this a reality.
Welcome to the NFL Mendoza, and welcome to being the leader of the Raiders Klint Kubiak. Let's get this thing going. And yea, as always, I sipped the Koolaid.

I love how also carried the fake when he handed it off as if he was going to throw. His movement looked identical in both casesRabidraider wrote: Fri Aug 14, 2026 5:43 am Mendoza's slight of hand was impressive. He already has the play action out of the pocket down.

First preseason game and starters didn’t play much. Not an excuse but, I’m still a fan of Leonard. He doesn’t seem to be a guy that has to have it his way and would expect he takes constructive criticism well, as Kubiak should do. I believe this coaching staff is seasoned enough to lean on each other and leave the pride and ego behind.
Lots of work to do in a more than one year rebuild.

Me too. Leonard has been in league 13 years and is still young. With 3 teams and hss been in involved with good performance or overperformance at every stop. Has reputation as good for player development all along. Seems to be liked and respected by players.Viper wrote: Fri Aug 14, 2026 8:13 am First preseason game and starters didn’t play much. Continuity and knowledge of players, organization.
That still doesn't mean he's meant to be a DC, or that he will be good right away. But Im glad he got the opportunity.

One thing to remember as far as vanilla play calling especially on defense. We play Arizona during the season. As well as the niners who we also play in the pre season. So they aren't going to show too much

He fakes the f[raiders_icon]ck out of the camera man. Washington was already upfield before the camera guy realized it wasn't a pass. That and the play action passes were absolute moneyRaidernation1979 wrote: Fri Aug 14, 2026 8:03 am I love how also carried the fake when he handed it off as if he was going to throw. Being under center will make that a weapon. Keep working at it and it will pay off huge.Goodtimes333 wrote: Fri Aug 14, 2026 8:46 am He fakes the f[raiders_icon]ck out of the camera man. Love him or hate him Minshew is an 8 year vet whos started ~50 games so it doesn't surprise me he carved up a bunch of first year rookies.
Zuhn playing all his snaps at RT is encouraging as im not close to sold on DJ Glaze.
1st team interior defense allowed too many runs to get to the 2nd level.
Fix next year?
Bring back Daniel Carlson please. I trust him.
Special teams looked much better.
No injuries
Now they have *film to *study.
Cant emphasize this enough.
Rather let the QB complete balls than blitz/sack. Need the film for DB development.
The coaches have live game film for the first time ever on "this" Raiders team.
Yadda Yadda

If Jeanty nearly got a 1000 last year, he's going to do a lot better with blocking like this.
