Stock plays for 2026

Unread post by Rabidraider »

Thought I'd throw this out there for anyone who enjoys playing the stock market.

I'm working on taking a position on a company called Archer Aviation. (ARCH)

Electric plane start up with plans for taxis service and sales. The Dolphin owner is a big fan and is setting up a taxis service from his Country club to the Stadium for example.
Sales will be going to the Mideast as well.
Some FAA approvals in the works.
Defense contracts too.

https://archer.com/

Is George Jetson not far behind.

Anyone who like to chase dividends there is an fund QQQI that gives high income dividends each month.

NEOS Nasdaq-100 High Income ETF 54.53 a share currently.

Currently it pays .6518 per share.

If it gets around 50.00 I will start accumulating.

500k will pay you $6518 a month in dividends, at $50 a share. $78216 a year.

15.5% is a good return, I assume this is pretty risky?

It been around for many year with a 5 year low of $43.22 and a high of $56

Although the share price could drop the dividends have steadily gone up.

The key is not to worry about the stock price over time, just know you are getting a great dividend every month.

So if you bought 500k at $50 you would have 10k shares and $6500 a month coming to you.
If the price dropped to 5 year low ($43) you would be down 70k on paper but still raking in 6500 a month.
Then over time the share price should bounce back to your purchase price or higher.
Its all about the dividends.
Its one of the most popular dividend ETFs out there.

For me I'm looking to buy in at $50 per share, right now its $54

AI explanation

NEOS Nasdaq-100 High Income ETF (QQQI) carries meaningful financial risks, primarily because it trades away long-term stock growth in exchange for high monthly cash payouts.Main Risks of QQQICapped Upside Potential: The fund sells call options (agreements to sell stocks at a set price) to generate income. When the stock market shoots up quickly, your gains are limited or "capped".Lagging Total Returns: Because your upside is limited, QQQI usually makes less total money over time than a standard index fund (like QQQ) during strong tech rallies.High Tech Concentration: The fund tracks the Nasdaq-100 index. This means your money is heavily concentrated in a small group of massive technology and "Magnificent Seven" stocks. If those specific tech stocks drop, QQQI drops with them.Falling Market Volatility: The high monthly payout depends on market volatility (how wildly stock prices swing). If the market stays calm and quiet for a long time, the fund collects lower option fees, which can reduce your monthly dividend yield.Who is it for?QQQI is designed for retirees or people who need regular monthly cash flow right now and are willing to give up some stock market growth to get it. If your main goal is growing your wealth over many years, holding a traditional growth index fund is usually a safer mathematical choice.

income funds r pretty safe, upside is limited and they usually trade a range for yrs, i usually find individual stocks in beaten down sectors that i view as bounce backs candidates

that way i pick up a nice fat div and upside witht he stock giving my over 20-25% returns, you can also buy bnd funds that pay safe interest that are federal or state tax free or both with very little risk if you are looking at nest egg money (easy 5-7%)

I mix my foundation, no risk money in JAAA, JBBB treasuries and even CDs that pay over 4%, I keep cash in SGOV to make around 3.5% while it waits to be spent. A third of my money goes to wild and crazy stuff. Overall I try to make 15%-25% each year and generally come close. I'm at the age of making income and not so much investing long term. If I was young I'd put most of my money in index funds like VOO etc.

I'm curious as to what's going to happen in the months after Sept 9th, when the US will start printing money to buy its own debt. I fear it will cause huge inflation well above what is going on currently. Other countries have backed off buy our debt so we are forced to buy our own.

market will be fine...u.s government has been buying all bonds they can get their hands on already, china dumped, europe dumped some to hurt trump but all that did was allow us to buys bonds back cheap ...that threat is mostly done now

my current count of bonds and other debt instruments is the u.s currently holds and owns 66% of all outstanding debt, recent japan yen weakness was carried out to prop up the japanese yen which had hit 40 yr lows, the u.s gov dumped euro and bought yen with japans gov to prop up the currency...this was done as bailout of japan in return japan would not sell bonds to prop up up the yen and in return the close ally would pay up billons...very similar to what we did with javier melie and argentina (short term financing) where the u.s netted billions in profits on a currency swap

Actually the 30 year bond is extremely high. Experts are saying inflation will go up.

experts have been saying inflation since trump came into office and been wrong ...americas debt is a not a problem, we own 66% of our own debt plus we got huge foreign investments incoming in manufacturing, factories, data centers, chip plants, auto plants,ai,ship building, the u.s is now the largest producer of oil/lng and gas on earth, we just got control of 68 billion barrels of crude oil from venezuela worth 5.7 trillion dollars

once we solve the bs in iran, most inflation will fall back to 2.6% or less

As have I.

Not sure how old you are...but ask yourself this.....

Can you weather stock market crash when the AI bubble bursts at you age? The government buying bonds other countries are dumping...and let's be clear....it is our debt that other countries are dumping because they feel the deficit we are running is unsustainable.

The government buying back our debt is paying interest on our interest. Look at what makes up the 500. If the tech stock bubble bursts.....401's going to get buried.....Trillions lost....Don't care stocks/bonds/currency.....

Don't take my word for...Listen to the smart ones who have been warning us.
