On to the Chargers.
After a successful week one win, the Raiders are going to their second home at the Chargers this week.

Yeah, apparently it involves his family. Whatever it is I hope it works out for him.vtraider wrote: Sat Sep 19, 2026 6:02 pm I see AOC is ruled out for tomorrow. Something about a personal matter. Not that I expected to see him. But just in case of emergency

...it might be interesting to see how less reps does, or does not, affect that....

Contact powskiI hope we continue to see smart coaching and good play-calling, on O and D. I was pro Leonard and I like what I see so far. I was hoping Kubiak was smart, and he looks like a good one so far. But so far isn't very far, and I've still got PTSD and am catastrophizing from last year. Last year was a very special bad year, more-so than most or all the other years of badness is some singular way.
As much as I want to see Mendoza play, I hope Kirk doesn't "full Geno" today, trying to prove how strong his arm is or something. I doubt it but anything can happen. The Charger's defense is a lot tougher than Miami's. Unless last week is their norm, which I doubt. Division games are 200% as important as a normal game to me.- These users gave a High Five to the author powski for the post:

Maybe.. but Alt is like a wall and Maxx' spin moves have very little effect as does his stop and goes and 2 hand swipes. Cant bull rush him either but Joe is an exceptional player. So idkWNYRAIDER wrote: Sun Sep 20, 2026 3:53 am ...it might be interesting to see how less reps does, or does not, affect that....

If it doesn't work because the players are out matched thats ok. We can get better players. The scheme and play calling is whats important.

...yeah, my own opinion was 'not much', as alt is one of those guys, like only a few others, but I guess we shall see....KillerRaider30 wrote: Sun Sep 20, 2026 5:41 am Maybe.. but Alt is like a wall and Maxx' spin moves have very little effect as does his stop and goes and 2 hand swipes. ....I do think that their line as a whole will be more challenged than we have challenged them in the past, due to the reinforcements....

He looked bad in preseason. I put the eye test before stats, but he passed neither IMO.RunOverByHubbard wrote: Sat Sep 19, 2026 1:57 pm Mendoza looked good at time in the preseason but also played like a middle round draft choice rookie at others. I can wait and live with Cousins.
As for whether he should play, I don't think so unless it's absolutely necessary. He shouldn't be kept in bubblewrap, but he's behind the curve, so the more time on the bench, the better. If we can win 3 of the next four he needs to stay on the bench. If we lose 3/4 then he needs to go in, but not until then.

Cousins did not pass the eye test last week, but a W is a W. He looked like a Jimmy G/Geno cyborg out there and that was against a Div 3 college defense. That being said, its good to bye some time for Mendoza, but he will be in there in the next few weeks (whether full time or spot duty).

The Queefs we’re winning the division when Mahomes got drafted & they should’ve let him start the playoffs just like when Harbaugh benched Smith to play Kapernick.Hellbound wrote: Thu Sep 17, 2026 11:27 am This team has been a door mat for way too long. If you're winning, you don't mess with what's working. There's certainly no way you switch your starting qb if you're team is winning
If we are still in playoff contention at the end of the year I’d throw in Mendoza & not think twice. The goal is to win the title
