Around the NFL
No clue where to post some stuff not necessarily team related but could be? Feel free to delete if this belongs somewhere else.
Maxx and Parsons would be nasty. I probably wouldn’t pay the price though.

Natural Ice has more alcohol and is just as cheap.Reno Hightower wrote: Sat Sep 26, 2026 10:26 pm Budweiser still holds up well. Stabler used to call it "Bumweiser" as Bum Phillips used to drink a few ice cold Bud's after a game.

Never understood his extension and you can't convince me that there's not one safety available that's better than himchucker wrote: Tue Sep 29, 2026 4:12 pm It's definitely nice having a high waiver priority, just in case. But it took us 3 weeks to find room for a guy from our own PS to make the 53, even when he is tied for 4th in the NFL in TD catches. Of course if a safety came available, nobody would shed a tear over cutting Pola Mao.

Fun little charger stat
This might be the most Chargers stat EVER.
Since 2013, teams with 5+ turnovers and a -4 turnover margin have won just THREE times
Every single one came against the Chargers...

Oh, oooops. So sorry you lost your game coach.
Article:
The game-changing pass interference call on Rams cornerback Josh Wallace was a bad call, according to Rams head coach Sean McVay.
McVay said today that the league office told him pass interference should not have been called on Wallace.
The penalty was huge, as it negated what would have been Wallace’s interception with 1:09 remaining in the game and the Rams leading 26-23. Instead of the Rams getting the ball back and almost certainly winning, the penalty gave the Broncos first-and-goal, setting up a touchdown and a 30-26 Broncos win.
Wallace did make contact with Broncos wide receiver Pat Bryant, although it was the kind of contact that frequently goes un-called, and Bryant also made contact with Wallace and could have been flagged for offensive pass interference. Bryant acknowledged that he flopped to sell the call.
The controversial call was one of the biggest penalties of this NFL season. And, according to McVay, the NFL now says it was a flag that should not have been thrown.

NFL says it was a flag that shouldn't have been thrown. I'm sure that makes the Rams feel better.
That was a win/loss flag. Watch the Rams miss the playoffs by one game.

Hopefully the NFL is educating the refs about what can be called and what cannot be call DPI.Oaktownonly wrote: Thu Oct 01, 2026 11:29 am NFL says it was a flag that shouldn't have been thrown. I'm sure that makes the Rams feel better.

I'm sure they've been educated plenty, it's going to happen.Atlasffa wrote: Thu Oct 01, 2026 11:47 am Hopefully the NFL is educating the refs about what can be called and what cannot be call DPI.
He still touched him, so on review they refs would have still gone by what they called.
The only thing I can come up with and it's more ratings!!!
Public Whacking, three to the butt on TV to the official that makes a bad call.
That's the only way for any satisfaction.

Unfortunately, we're talking about a group of owners who at one point thought the "Tuck Rule" would be a nice addition to the books. LolAtlasffa wrote: Thu Oct 01, 2026 11:47 am Hopefully the NFL is educating the refs about what can be called and what cannot be call DPI.
