Is it Mendoza time???
We are on a 4 game losing skid, and I think it's time to put KC out to pasture...with that said all this talk of Mendoza getting destroyed is ridiculous...hell KC has somehow come out unscathed after 7 games what makes people think a mobile QB will fare worse...we aren't going anywhere with KC! It's time to get the kid some real game time experience & see what life with Mendoza entails!

Second half today was the perfect opportunity to put him in. I have my doubts that Kubiakis going to start him anytime soon.

I’ve been neutral on the subject until today. Halftime today would have been a great play. He’s at home with no pressure for the win because already down by 3 scores but too early for the Rams to go prevent. It was perfect.
Some here think he needs to be bubble wrapped but maybe they forget he’s 6’5” 230lbs while Kirk is 6’3” 215lbs. Mendo isn’t a shy wall flower

Maybe he's waiting until the run game gets going?Oaktownonly wrote: Sun Oct 25, 2026 6:17 pm Second half today was the perfect opportunity to put him in. I have my doubts that Kubiakis going to start him anytime soon.
Which doesn't look like happening any time soon.
Maybe you guys are right and it is time
Probably not til after the bye week though

We definity need better blocking in the run game but if I'm a D coordinator I'm playing an eight man front and daring Cousin's to beat me. I don't have to worry about him running so my DB's can keep a better eye on the receivers. His lack of mobility hurts the run game also. Just think it was a wasted opportunity.raider_kin wrote: Sun Oct 25, 2026 6:24 pm Maybe he's waiting until the run game gets going?

I think it is. I get why he didn't start the 2nd half hoping we could rally. But after 2 failed 4th down drives we should have given him a shot IMO. The line was giving Cousins time Mendoza would have been fine and added the threat of running.
Let him start next week and see what he can do

I think they are going to stay the course and wait until after the browns game. I think they have their mind set on giving him as much time as possible which would be another five weeks worth of games then the bye and two weeks to prepare for a team we have already played.

I say no, let him see the disaster from the sidelines. Put him in when the O line figures out how to run block, the D isn't giving up 30 a game There are adjustments that need to be made, there are enough problems on the field right now that are obvious and there seem to be no answers. Put the kid in when there is a legitimate chance of success which is actually winning games

He has zero run game to work with.
I don’t like that for him.
I’m in the middle on this one.

Kirk has 16 td 5 picks hes just not the problem right now imo...our run game is absolutely the weak link. Also our 1st half defense has not played very well during this 4 game slide. No matter his stats if we cant win some games I could definitely see a change after the bye

The Raiders running game the last two years brings back memories of Greg Robinson and Tyrone Montgomery. It's been that f[raiders_icon]cking bad.
As for the topic of discussion. Maybe.
Cousins is like Cap Rooney, the aging war horse.

I think it's time for him to see the field. I can understand Kubiak wanting to wait until our running game is better, but hell, we were the worst team in the league last year. Of course it's not going to be ideal. He's got 3 legit receiving targets and 1 more if you want to include Jeanty.
I'm not gonna cry if he doesn't get the nod until the bye, but the schedule isn't getting any easier, so IMO, he needs to get on the field.

If I could forget the entire first half before LA softened up on the second half, I could agree with thistadow wrote: Sun Oct 25, 2026 7:03 pm Kirk has 16 td 5 picks hes just not the problem right now imo...our run game is absolutely the weak link. Mendoza should definitely be starting at this point. Our ceiling is 5-6 wins. Mendoza needs reps
