Then how did Derek Carr throw for 4000 yards in four straight years? Olson utilizes his tight ends very well and we have one of the best tandems in the league with Bowers and Mayer.

We won how many playoff games with those 4000 yards?

Passing yards. The most overrated statistic there is for a QB in today's game.

That is just a small part of the WCO. That is not a system, it is play calling. WCO is based on short quick timing passes as the passing attack coupled with receivers who hit their marks precisely. It is designed for receivers who can create after the catch, never before the pass. As for the run, it also utilizes the RBs in the passing game but it does require the RBs to be downhill runners. The TE's in the system are almost always bigger because they are constant weapons, again on short timing routes.

That is a playbook change. You do not, nor do teams ever, change the playbook in season. It just does not happen. Or should I say it does not happen in the SB era. Back when teams had 20 plays coming out of 6 offensive sets, maybe, but not when you have a playbook that takes three months to design and 2 months for your players to learn. You do not go from what we have to a timing based offense in season.

And, and this is important, Geno is not a WCO QB and while O'Connell is you just cannot change up that much stuff inside the season.

I was never a big fan of Graham because he doesn't fit our scheme. He's a 3-4 coach. I hope he's the next one to get canned and then bring back Gus Bradley if they can. How many years have we spent trying to find another pass rusher to go with Crosby? Look at T. Wilson. His 3rd year in the league and he is still not a starter. Graham thinks like a 3-4 coach when he scouts D-linemen.

I say make the change now. G. Smith is washed up. He's finished.

OK, do that, I don't care. But that was not what you were arguing, you were arguing for a system change in season

So our defense sucks. Our offense sucks. Olson will be irrelevant and suck.

Conveniently we now find the QB where they instantly become washed when they play here.

But yeah he might need some deep therapy after this season. He used to be a young thirty something, now he's an old thirty something.

he is not the best play caller, but his knowledge and experience is what they are going after. But any play caller is bound to be better than Chip

you can scream it all you like. They can change what plays they are calling. But again, you cannot change the book. The book, the signals and to a large degree the audibles are all going to be what we have now.

Sorry slick, nobody would ever advocate for that on a team. You can change it in the offseason and that is almost assured to happen. But not now.
