On to the Bills
Back home, spread should be around 6.5 or so.
Let' go back to being competitive. Discuss. Bills have not won a SB. This is my way of saying we are better than them. I know, it does not help.

Because of expectations. He was expected to make everyone around him better and that has not happened. Also I have seen a number of plays where he is not dominating at the LOS. Anyone have his PFF rankings? IBoKnows81 wrote: Wed Oct 14, 2026 3:10 pm How in the world is Linderbaum the most disappointing? You need to watch more tape. He's never been a mauler, he was always a technician.

He does make people better. He’s a technician not a mauler. Even Kirk has commented how he (Kirk) doesn’t have to worry about the line calls as he knows linderbaum will have it handled correctlyRunOverByHubbard wrote: Wed Oct 14, 2026 10:36 pm Because of expectations. What? I hope this is sarcasm because he is the least of our problems. Cousins has nothing but praise for his calls and overall work. This had to have been said in jest?RunOverByHubbard wrote: Wed Oct 14, 2026 2:38 pm And, so far, Linderbaum is in a way the most disappointing. However, he is in a complex situation, playing between subpar talents. The season is still pretty young and it is possible that with good coaching, our O-line will end up being average.

A lot of what a center does doesn’t show up on any stat sheet.
And the really good ones? You don’t even notice what they are doing.
Linderbaum makes The QBs job easier which happens to be Cousins. But make no mistake he was brought in to make Mendoza’s job easier once he becomes the starter. To have that for a rookie QB is an immense advantage.

Nothing wrong with Linderbaum. Linderbaum expects guys to be able to do their job and Burford isn't. He needs to be replaced.

Linderbaum was never the best center in the game, just a very good one who helped operate a dominant OL in Baltimore. Like most OL he will struggle when bookended with subpar talent. We still had no choice but to pay him whatever he wanted, because Andre James was that bad of a center. No buyer's remorse, but it's worth acknowledging he was never going to be so good that he could cover up for poor play elsewhere on the line.

Not sarcasm. Yes he is the least of our problems and yes, he is the best lineman we have. Looking back to before this season actually got underway, he is the new roster member we all thought was the best signing we could and did make. I am disappointed in how little his signing has actually changed the performance of the line. Does that make sense? I probably did not express it accurately when I first wrote it. His PFF ranking so far is 19th out of 34 centers. That would add creedance to my observation that he has not been a World beater to my eyes.FLORIDARAYDAH wrote: Thu Oct 15, 2026 4:19 am What? Offensive lineman aren't literal greek gods. They are a unit that needs everyone to do their job. Linderbaum cant block three guys every play. Tyler and our tackles are both being dragged down by terrible guard play.

Forgive Hubbard. He also didn’t think we needed to draft Bowers ;)

....by paying him what we did, I thought that that was what many here expected.....DanKD wrote: Thu Oct 15, 2026 12:32 pm Offensive lineman aren't literal greek gods.
