so you then are not the "some of you" I was referring to.BoKnows81 wrote: Tue Mar 03, 2026 8:33 am Some of us just want him gone for the long term benefit of the team and couldn't give two shits about stuff like this.
The best time to trade any player is leading up to the draft since the goal is to get a bidding war going. That is after teams who know they missed out on a key free agent signing turn to draft capital to fill that key hole. The last thing you want is a single team inquiring. And right now teams are focused on their own key free agents since they are alone in negotiating with their agents.eastcoast128 wrote: Tue Mar 03, 2026 8:57 am IMO, there will never be a better time to trade Maxx, outside of the start of the new NFL league year.
Teams either have the cap space or can make it. For example
According to over the CAP,
- the cowboys are nearly $57.0mm over the cap. That includes $30.3mm to Lamb and a franchise tag of $27.3 to Pickens. Their offense is championship caliber, their D has holes. I could see one of their 1st round picks, Pickens and a 2nd/3rd round pick in’27 for Maxx and Tre Tucker
- the rams are already 40.0mm under the cap, they need a rush end to improve their D and balance their team. I’m sure McVey realizes how much of a difference Maxx would have made last year
- Balt is about 18.0mm under the cap and need Off and Def lineman. They just offer center Linderbaum a “market setting deal” - they have holes across the o line and have never traded high 1st round picks
- the pats, like the Rams, are sitting at $40.0mm under the cap. The biggest issue is their pick in the first this year is late
Aside from Maxx recovering from Knee surgery, he’s healthy and in need by numerous teams. I’d like to see them trade him if the pick(s) player coming back give them a chance to speed up the rebuild
I respect this pov, imo he hasn't becomes a cancer (hardest worker more like it) and he hasn't talked his way out of LV and is far far away from a point of no return from what we know.BoKnows81 wrote: Tue Mar 03, 2026 8:33 am Some of us just want him gone for the long term benefit of the team and couldn't give two shits about stuff like this.
I've maintained this stance from the beginning. I will say I was not a fan of him requesting the trade with AP thing though. But all this other nonsense that people are getting worked up over, means nothing.SkullCrusher wrote: Tue Mar 03, 2026 9:11 am I respect this pov, imo he hasn't becomes a cancer (hardest worker more like it) and he hasn't talked his way out of LV and is far far away from a point of no return.
But if you believe we are better with picks then him, that leaves the soap opera angle out of it (always a fan trap), again I can respect that.
no, Linderbaum is a free agent so unless he resigns before free agency, we just have to outbid others for him. No trade needed.

In so many words he did and you know it.
NE reported proposal was 1st + 2nd + Barmore.
Passive aggressive is his MO.
