Free agency opens March 11. CBS Sports has their top 50 ranking. No Raiders on the list. I am surprised at a couple rated high - Aaron Rodgers and Daniel Jones. Lots of wide receivers

I believe teams can announce releases, but they do not take effect until Wednesday at 4pm. In the mean time deals still can be done. Jets didn't want any competition for Geno, so pulled the trigger.

There have been plenty of instances where it was announced that a player would get released and then a team trades for him prior to the release taking effect. And there are times when a player gets released and then gets more money than he was due from his prior team once he's free - like Tyler Biadasz. Washington really should have been able to find a trade partner there and they jumped the gun on the release.

...yeah. understood, I guess that I didn't realize just how low that period was, as here, it seemed like the bills announced they were releasing the 4 db's like 4 days prior to us hearing about the Taron trade.... ...i'm guessing on the timeline, as locally, the hockey sabres also have peoples attention, and on that note, an 8-7 win over Tampa teh other night was one of the wildest games which I have ever, accidentally watched. 2 periods each, with 7 goals scored.....
