The only difference between shutting down Crosby and shutting down other players is that he's vocal about always wanting to play. The team needs to give less of a shit about what he wants - including when he wants to play 100% of snaps. He'd be a better and healthier player with more rest but he'll never make that good choice on his own.

yea, but made it official this week, not saying the league can get f[raiders_icon]cked, that should happen weekly and publicly but that is a story for another time.

A few years back the eagles benched hurts in week 17 of a close game for no apparent reason other then losing on purpose. This was right before they got good. The loss ended up moving them from pick 9 to pick 6.

Half their team (along with hurts) had more or less called it a tank job. Pederson explanation: sudfeld (backup) had been with the team for a while and Pederson thought it’d be nice to give his backup QB his moment.

The NFL found no wrongdoing or attempt to lose on purpose.

I think we can rest easy on this one. Unless Geno starts throwing backwards out of our own end zone all game… the NFL basically has a stance that setting a bad lineup is never proof of losing on purpose.

I'm not sure anything awful that Geno could do at this point could be presented as evidence that he's doing anything other than being Geno.

Every year teams sit guys that would otherwise play once they’re out of contention. People only pay close attention to it when they’ll have one of the first 2 or 3 picks.

I'm really wondering if fwe treat this game like a preseason game and sit the starters after the first quarter. Wouldn't surprise me if that were the plan (it should be).

The Giants are tanking just as bad if not worse than we are. However IF there was an investigation into anyone tanking it would only happen if the Raiders lose.
