Hard to say but if any coach could get the most out of Richardson, its Shanny. I watch Brock play and I see nothing that stands out at all. There's nothing (IMO) that he does really well.Toast wrote: Tue Feb 17, 2026 8:31 am Shanny drafts Mr Irrelevant and Mr Irrelevant exceeds expectations and excels in his scheme. Isn't that the point? Do think a lunkhead like Anthony Richardson could match what Purdy has done if he were playing for Shanahan?
He sees the field, makes good decisions and anticipates things well. Sure he needs to play in a scheme that matches his skillset but that's why you look for certain qualities when you acquire personal. Shanny has coached the hell out of him no doubt, especially when you look back on his scouting report.BoKnows81 wrote: Tue Feb 17, 2026 8:34 am Hard to say but if any coach could get the most out of Richardson, its Shanny. Ya, we’re like 4 guys away from being about 5 guys away from being a really good defense.BoKnows81 wrote: Mon Feb 16, 2026 12:58 pm Lol we actually want a clear out. You got Maxx and a bunch of replaceable bodies.
Rod Martin is one of my all time favorites. Believe he’s still the only player with 3 interceptions in a superbowl.raider_kin wrote: Mon Feb 16, 2026 5:52 pm The draft used to go 20 rounds. In my lifetime it went 12 rounds . Don't tell me there's not talent out side of 7.
PS: ever hear of Rod Martin or Reggie Kinlaw?
"Rod Martin once again slams the door in the face of the man they call Jaws!" Bill King's ability as a wordsmith rivaled Winston Churchill.Viper wrote: Tue Feb 17, 2026 9:24 am Rod Martin is one of my all time favorites. Believe he’s still the only player with 3 interceptions in a superbowl.
Eagles Jaworski in ‘81 - really great memories.
3 ints are amost impossible to beat. That along with the Bills losing 4 Superbowls in a row.raidersince63 wrote: Tue Feb 17, 2026 10:18 am Since he was a LBer instead of a CB or S, it seems very unlikely that anyone will ever match, much less exceed Rod Martin's incredible record of 3 INTs in one SB game.
What?raider_kin wrote: Mon Feb 16, 2026 9:26 pm Shots? You seem very combative lately. I hope things turn for the better for you.

The Bills have been lambasted for years because they lost 4 straight SBs but as far as I know they are already the only team to go to the SB 4 years in a row. And sadly some people forget just how hard it to even make it to the SB 2 years in a row, much less 4 in a row.KillerRaider30 wrote: Tue Feb 17, 2026 11:51 am 3 ints are amost impossible to beat. It was an amazing run for them. They lost one on an easy missed FG and ran into a Ciwboy dynasty. Not sure how people consider that losing. If not for the Cowboys they might have been the dynasty. Im just hoping we sniff a SB again in my lifetimeraidersince63 wrote: Tue Feb 17, 2026 12:56 pm The Bills have been lambasted for years because they lost 4 straight SBs but as far as I know they are already the only team to go to the SB 4 years in a row. Those Bills teams were excellent teams and had about 6 or 7 members in the HOF. Too bad they were often labeled as "losers".
Don't forget who came close with the fantastically astounding 2 int game to catapult themselves onto our roster. He was an LB!raidersince63 wrote: Tue Feb 17, 2026 10:18 am Since he was a LBer instead of a CB or S, it seems very unlikely that anyone will ever match, much less exceed Rod Martin's incredible record of 3 INTs in one SB game.

Hard for me to believe that my now 42 year old Son was born exactly 1 week before our last SB...Jan 15, 1984.FLORIDARAYDAH wrote: Tue Feb 17, 2026 1:04 pm It was an amazing run for them. I was in the 7th grade. A week later, we won our third Super Bowl in less than a decade and our second in four seasons. And if you told me that I'd be 54 years old and we'd still be looking for #4, I'd have thought you were crazy.raidersince63 wrote: Tue Feb 17, 2026 2:00 pm Hard for me to believe that my now 42 year old Son was born exactly 1 week before our last SB...Jan 15, 1984.
