Should we pursue him?
What’s his trade value?

The team will be competitive this season unless Baker makes the mistake of not playing as well as he can. He does that, it will cost him in free agency.
the bucs r being stupid the franchise tag on baker next yr will be close to 50 million a yr

Just a hint..... if you're posting a massive wall of quoted text that a select few might read, putting it in a quote box limits the amount of space it takes up on the page and the amount of scrolling that people have to do if they don't want to read it. It's not required, but it's kinda nice.

And at least a link gives the viewer the option to decide if/when they want to click and scroll through it.
Edit; Totally agree with chucker's advice too.

That's the thing, they will be competitive. They won't be in a position in the draft to get a top guy. Trade ups are unlikely as QB needy teams just won't trade down. Bucs won't have many other options. Their whole offense was gutted from injuries last year. Oline and receivers was a mash unit. They'd do a lot worse than Mayfield. They should have promoted Coen to HC last off-season imo. Bowles ain't it

Dude is the key for the Raiders defense to be top 10. With Vita this D-line would be pretty good and have a great rotation.
...I would want assurances that he doesn't have a thing for feet.....

Let's just say I don't really want to give a lot for him. I would like to see him in silver and black. If it can be done for reasonable.... sure. I seriously doubt it can be. Then again.... it aint my money, so............

Its going to cost a lot, hes like the 2nd best NT in the league. I would say a minimum of a 3rd and 5th, and probably around 27-30 million per season.

^^^that's fine if some team is willing to give him that much...as long as that team is not the Raiders.

In the example of a 3rd and a 5th giving the Raiders the 2nd best NT, it sounds expensive but if it means the team wont have to waste a 1st or a 2nd next year on a NT who is a possibly a question mark, its cheap.
Plus it frees up future picks that would be used trying to draft that special NT. Like on a WR etc
Spending upper mid picks for homerun type players is fine by me.
Name a 3rd rounder the Raiders have drafted in the past 10 years that has blown you away and is better than Vea?

...tough call. and I think it would have to depend on how quickly the new powers that be think that they can make the team beyond 500 competitive, as at 31, and at that position, I would think that 2-3 years more of being a top force at that position would be realistic, and I would think that a 3rd would be max, (at least for the higher pick, were it to be 2) with his expected new contract , which also (I would think) would need to be team friendly, at least in flexibility after 2-3 years, to go a different direction as needed, without being overly burdened by further obligations, as other big future contracts come due.....
....admittedly did not do my homework on his durability, but the fact that I didn't see that brought up here, would more suggest to me that he is durable, rather than not, which seems to be, more often than not, a trait that you either have, or don't have, though (also) with the understanding that age and years in the league can reflect that more along the way...
