It’s that time of year for us to dog fight about who’s college team is better.
Best way to start it out IMO is with the preseason coaches poll that just dropped:
Preseason Coaches Poll
1.Ohio State
2.Oregon
3.Georgia
4.Texas
5.Notre Dame
6.Indiana
7.Miami
8.Texas A&M
9.Oklahoma
10.Ole Miss
11.Alabama
12.Texas Tech
13.LSU
14.USC
15.BYU
16.Michigan
17.Penn State
18.Tennessee
19.Washington
20.SMU
21.Utah
22.Iowa
23.Clemson
24.Houston
25.Missouri
We all know who are backing after that last few years but the 2026 season is almost upon us.
For my own part, this year is special I’m attending my first home game ever at ND on 9/12.

Just watched the replay. That who series of events is very questionable. There should not have been an extra second tacked on to the play clock. Just another reason I am really starting to hate NCAA football.
The football itself is good, it's all the stuff "usually" outside the lines that's BS, then this.

Draft Kings called the Big 10 and the Big 10 made sure that the Big 10 officials engineered a favorable Big 10 outcome. It is by far the worst call I have ever seen in NCAA football.

The football used to be better when teams stayed together for 4 years.

I agree 100% that WMU got screwed, but like the "Tuck Rule", they still had the opportunity to shut down the play and win.

Their coach didn't believe there was a second left...
I will add, how embarrassing that the fans rushed onto the field after that "win." UM struggled the entire game, despite being favored by 27 points, and were saved by an imaginary second on the clock that only one person in the stadium saw --the ref who could give them a second chance for their Hail Mary--the same ref whose whistle didn't seem to work for the egregious penalties committed by UM. They should be embarrassed by the "win," not celebrating it. LOL.

Now we only have to wonder if the clocks were synced or not...
The End

They got robbed before that play with no calls that would have put the game away, don't know how the refs miss these calls right if front of them running into the kicker, and huge face mask

I saw that. Looks like I spoke too soon.
I was following the gamecast on ESPN and it said end of the 4th before the second hail Mary heave. It's too bad Western Michigan was cheated out of the upset.
Frazier gets saved by the bell, or engineered Big 10 officiating.
Same I wasn’t watching it; ESPN Gamecast.

The really bad part of this is that the replay system was implemented with the intention of "getting it right" but after viewing the play from multiple angles, it was clear to me that they still managed to "get it wrong".
The Refs and the reply people completely blew the call.

As a Michigan Homer, we lost that game and Underwood is horrible. There were very questionable calls on both sides down the stretch. Western got a phantom 1st down after they got stuffed. As I said, Western did get f[raiders_icon]cked
The one thing I will add, and I've heard this stated by announcers many times before, the clock on the TV isn't official, just as the yellow lines for 1st downs aren't etc. Western got f[raiders_icon]cked, and even though it's a "w" in the win column, there's no way Michigan can come out of that feeling good

Western Michigan got screwed over...
Who decided to put one second back on the clock?????
Running into the punter? No call!
Anyway, I agree with everyone's comments.

Western Michigan and the Mid American Conference are taking the high road because smaller programs get paid well and gain national visibility in these so called cupcake tune up games. That said Western Michigan got screwed. They know it and Michigan knows it.
