SIlver Linings Playbook

I know there is no silver lining in a loss. And I will never say we played good enough to win, so that is positive. I will say every loss takes us closer to never watching Statue Smith play QB for us again. So after this loss what are your thoughts to help you deal with the pain of this team we experience every week?

The best chance we have is the Titans ending up with the number one pick

Yea but I'm saying the Jets have the ammo to move up. We don't.

Sure Faith because that is all I have left!

The silver lining is Ive seen the Dodgers win the last two titles and be perennial contenders. Ive seen the Lakers win many championships and continue to at least be in the conversation. Ive seem the Kings win two Stanley cups.

So at least I have those teams to alleviate the utter pain of Raider fandom.

Either silver dollars or real cash. Geno Smith will NOT be the Raiders starter next year. No chance in hell. I'd take ANY of the top 10-15 rated rookies in the draft and give them a shot over this human garbage can.
I hope you're right. I don't even want him for the rest of the season. I just know how this franchise operates....... anything that is the wrong decision is what will be. :grimmace:

At this point in the season, unless they are moving up for something other than QB they are fools. This QB class is shaping up to be a real dog, worse than last year. I want a QB like everyone else but this would not be the year for it in my opinion. Jets did a good job of getting pieces to move around, but they also gave up some pretty great players to do it, but if the plan is QB they probably whiffed

Right now you can only evaluate the trades based on value. And the Jets win easily. There is no CB in the league worth two 1sts and while Williams is a good player, he aint helping that Cowboys team much. I do also think Mendoza is worth a trade up to #1. We see QB values inflated year after year and this year will be no different. They could also get a QB in 2027 since they have multiple high picks then too.

Provided Mendoza comes out. The top guys for this draft all have eligibility left, and most of them I see sticking around another year with Mendoza being one of the exceptions barring a late season plunge. Moore is a 50/50 guy, again pending the end of the season. If all stick around another year, this class is straight up garbage.

Sounds like Kyler is on the outs in AZ and might hit the market, but he is flat out horrible. He should have played baseball

Ever since the Kyler news I been living in fear that this team will make a push for him. Ugh.

This Raiders shit sucks but my Aggies are 3rd in the country and the Blazers(NBA) look like they might have finally turned a corner to a potential playoff team this season. Took them basically 4 years to rebuild, which I feel is a normal amount of time. 23 years in fcking laughable.
Chauncey not there to throw out a lineup of G-Leaguers to meet La Cosa Nostra's betting lines.

Mendoza is the only one I would consider a high first round pick right now. Moore needs to stay I wouldn’t be upset with attempting some of the other potential prospects in the 2nd to 3rd round.

He had a set back but I would take a flyer on Avery Johnson on day 3. I might consider Allar if he falls to the 5th round, I think some of his issues were coaching. I also think Sellers has some interesting qualities if he is there in the third, probably not but I could hope.

Moore needs to stay, he stays he is setting up to be the number one guy next year. Mendoza to me should not be drafted before maybe pick 7-10. He won't, he would go number 1 but I push him into the top 10 but from a "measure the player" point of view he is probably the top 20 as measured with the guys in the draft, but he is a QB. I did not like his last game at all. But I do agree with the scouts who say he is the best out there. It is close but he measures out the best at this time. He would have beat out Cam Ward had he come out last year, but Cam only went first because the Titans were desperate and their coach thought he was a QB whisperer.

Admittedly, I haven’t watched a ton of the other guys. Watching more he’s a scream thrower but you have to watch with Oregon QBs lately. Anytime he tried to go deep he wasn’t very accurate. I don’t see any flaws in Mendoza’s game. He can throw to all levels of the field accurately and make plays with legs if he has to. I’m not saying he doesn’t have to refine in certain areas but there’s no glaring holes in his game so I don’t see why he shouldn’t be a number one pick.
