Or is this still a rebuilding year?

If we are going to be a serious team, we need to do more work with our OL (which should be priority #1). I'm sure they were banking on the Maxx trade to help build the OL. We need to protect our investments (which are all on the offensive side of the ball).

I think the team will compete way better (i voted 6 wins) but i dont expect a rookie Mendoza to win a lot of games. I want 10 wins+ and playoffs in 2027 though

Since the last Raider Super Bowl; every offseason we sign and draft all these great players and we have really done nothing; look what happened with Pete Carroll; people here were saying we are going to playoffs and then we beat New England and everyone went into overdrive….and the team just crashed

I hope the raiders do well; but we have been down in gutter for almost 25 years; all piece at the moment look promising and hope raiders do really well for once but something inside me is saying let wait and see what happens first;

Honest opinion; I don’t think we will make the playoffs but I do think the raiders will be a better team.

I did pick the raiders to win 6 games in 2026

That's the thing. You think QB play is gonna drop off from last year? Highly doubtful, rookie or not. Geno was the sole reason for a lot of losses last year.

Agree with earlier sentiment - front office looks competent. Appears to be a plan. We’ve got a brutal schedule and a rookie QB. Linderbaum was a massive get and should help give us a ground game. Ideally, you’d still like a lot more help around Mendoza. WR group still looks well below average. Could probably use another upgrade on the line.

I could see our defence being sneaky good. But we’ll see how the rest of the offseason plays out.

Yea. We had awful coaches combined with an awful QB. People keep bringing up the rookie QB aspect like it's gonna a be a downgrade. It's just not. Talent aside, better coaching and better QB play should get us 4-5 more wins alone. That's where I'm at.

I agree about the coaching and QB being awful. I'm just an old, jaded fan at this point, remembering how good this team used to be compared to how bad it's been the last 30 years... with a couple of decent years sprinkled in. I drank the Koolaid last year. I won't be doing that this year, despite the undeniable improvements. The Raiders have to show me now.

Well if it makes you feel better, I was pessimistic as hell last year while everyone else was optimistic, and I was right. I'm optimistic this year so....
