When a team is as inept as the Raiders were last year it's hard to tell if it was on purpose or not.
Regardless, the future looks much brighter after nabbing FM, adding new coaching, drafting and FAs.

Remember that one of two things will happen:
1) We'll be better than 3-14 in which case nobody will remember this prediction except to laugh at it in retrospect, or
2) We actually do go 3-14, in which case this prediction will have been 100% accurate and there's nothing to be mad about.

Maybe I’m in the minority here that is surprised that anyone’s surprised at a prediction like this.
For me, I wouldn’t put the chance of 3-14 at zero. I’d be surprised but not shocked. But I don’t think it’ll be fire everyone around here if we do. This is the highest I’ve been on our foundation in a long time… but we might not be there yet. That’s possible.
Assuming this off-season pays dividends this year in terms of looking like we got the QB, we got the coach, we’ve got some ascending talents on defen… even if we’re not great… I could see us being one more good offseason away from all aboard the hype train.

Even if the Raiders go 3-14; they will be in a better place to go forward….their a wr that plays for Ohio state that supposedly is going to be great one….Raiders get him and that offense will be set for years…

...did not like settling on Pete as a plan b, or c, or whatever it was, as starting over with a 70? year old seemed stupid, and like wasted time, and then when he had his kid coach the o line, and bringing in the chipster, who despite college success, has me skeptical of that hire....
....as it turns out, I grossly underestimated how bad chip would be, and with how confused and impotent that whole offense often looked, he basically stole that money....

Oh, I don't think for one minute that we actually went into last year considering tanking, but after so many losses, it was obvious that hiring PC and his minions was a complete disaster, and that's when the powers that be may have started thinking that having the #1 pick the following year would pay dividends...and it appears that it did.
