Should we pursue him?
What’s his trade value?

yes, it fills a huge hole for the raiders on defense for a few yrs allowing us to find his replacement via the draftRabidraider wrote: Sat Aug 01, 2026 8:16 pm In the example of a 3rd and a 5th giving the Raiders the 2nd best NT, it sounds expensive but if it means the team wont have to waste a 1st or a 2nd next year on a NT who is a possibly a question mark, its cheap.
Plus it frees up future picks that would be used trying to draft that special NT. Like on a WR etc
Spending upper mid picks for homerun type players is fine by me.
Name a 3rd rounder the Raiders have drafted in the past 10 years that has blown you away and is better than Vea?
I believe Eddie Vanderdoes was drafted in that time frame and in the 3rd. Not even close to the same player. Jihad Ward was in the 2nd - same thing.Rabidraider wrote: Sat Aug 01, 2026 8:16 pm In the example of a 3rd and a 5th giving the Raiders the 2nd best NT, it sounds expensive but if it means the team wont have to waste a 1st or a 2nd next year on a NT who is a possibly a question mark, its cheap.

I agree - they'll hang onto him unless someone gives them really good trade compensation. They have a good chance to win that shaky division with him in the middle of the D.JRaider17 wrote: Mon Aug 03, 2026 7:03 am Most likely scenario to me is Tampa Bay finds a way to at least keep him this year.
I agree. They will give him more money to keep him this season at least. Unless someone offers too much to turn downJRaider17 wrote: Mon Aug 03, 2026 7:03 am Most likely scenario to me is Tampa Bay finds a way to at least keep him this year.
I would trade Maxx for Vea straight up & not look back!SuperRaider wrote: Thu Aug 06, 2026 1:44 pm If the raiders get Vito Vea….we are probably looking at 8 to 9 win seasons…the raiders defense actually just got better; solid Nose Tackles are hard to find in the NFL…
Think that would be a pretty decent trade
Thank God fans are not decision makers
