Assuming they are taking on all of his salary that's something like 126 million to spend in FA. I'm curious how much the potential offsets are (if any) in terms of how much we absorb of his contract.

Yup. We're going to have a metric ton of capital to use in free agency. Hopefully we use that to replace Maxx's production the next two years and the picks are the long term fix.

Would have liked a 3rd thrown in but honestly we are even lucky to get this. I thought the bidding process would get the value up to two 1sts plus another asset/player. I’m presuming it didn’t, so I’m okay with the haul.
