Predict the 2026 record - your realistic expectations

With Mendoza needing time to adjust, an unproven O line and what I consider average receivers, I’m not really expecting to light it up on offense.

Defensively, we should be at least middle of the pack. That should go a long ways in helping stack wins.

Having said that, we are improved across the board yet still more work to do. I would predict we have 6 wins this year, double what we had last year. If Pete can manage 3 last year, I have faith with a better coaching staff we can do better. If we can beat the teams we’re supposed to plus staying close in the 4th quarter against better talent, we have a punchers chance in some of those.

Personally, at least another year or two to make some real noise if we nail FA and the draft.

Raiders of old, "We don't take what the defense gives us. We take what we want."

Its a realistic expectation we dont have that X reciever who can dominate iso.

Cant go to the Brock well over and over especially in the 4th.

If the record is really bad, say 5 wins or less, I hope its Cousins who's playing most of the time. Dont want Mendoza getting the stench of losing on him, lol. Im actually less interested in W & L as long as the team is playing a structured competent game in all aspects of it. Hope I'll be able to at least see the makings of a winning team sometime in the near future, like in Gruden 1s first few years with the Raiders.

It may well have happened before, but I can't remember anyone ever shutting down Bowers...the guy is just that damned good. Kinda reminds me of Kelce when he was in his prime, because it seemed that with Mahomes delivering the ball, no one could shut him down either and if you think about it, the rest of their receivers really were not great at all...because they didn't have to be.

I look at it as being a "glass is half full" situation...Do we have the best receiving corps in the NFL? No...but collectively, including Bowers, we're certainly not the worst either.

Yea i completely disagree. Brock is exactly who you want to go to over and over, all game. Especially when Mendoza takes over. He will be Doza's best friend. He's a matchup nightmare and the need for an 'X' WR that can dominate is overrated in this offense. Obviously the staff agreed since they had a chance to draft a one on Day 2.

Hey, a broken clock is right twice a day too. One day we’ll get this right, and he’ll be awarded for his yearly optimism. Most of us are feeling pretty optimistic this time, and all it took was for this mental zygote to get the f[raiders_icon]ck away from the football decisions.

A bunch of us have known that for a long f[raiders_icon]cking time. We just needed the QB Goat to come along and nudge this particular soft-boiled genius back to his office at PF Chang’s.

They didn't take a wr at 36 bc the defensive backfield was in much more need of help than wr and there was no Jamar Chase available. No?

When defenses bracket Brock and put their #1 cb on Nailor who you going to on 3rd and 12?
There's going to be times when Brock is well covered.
Mention he'll see snaps on the outside less that 25% or the time. He lines up everywhere.
So agree to disagree that they dont have or need a WR who can brake man at a consistent rate.

Either half full or half empty, the glass still only contains 50%.

Not if the glass is 50% bigger than it needs to be.
