NO WAY, the point of even trying to trade for vea is to pair him up with maxx giving us pressure up the middle with maxx pressure on the outside

I wouldn’t even consider it unless they offered Vita plus a worthwhile draft pick at minimum.
Making the edge weaker by adding value in the middle makes no sense.

Maxx makes life hell trying to run any play. He's the best run defending edge player in the entire league. Plus the pass rush, the batted passes etc. He's one of the most respected players in the league in general. Id love Vita Vea as a Raider but I wouldn't trade Maxx to get him

Yep, this trade proposal is stupid on a level rarely seen. But sometimes we get it done better than the team would have done. As much as I wanted to keep Maxx, the trade to Baltimore was about as good as it gets so I was on board. I remember the days of getting Vea for a 4th and nice glance, plus 25 mil a year for 2-3 years.

The only way it would make sense is if there is additional draft compensation and they believe Keyron or Malcolm are on the verge of a breakout. Then you would be filling a hole that is very difficult to fill, while not creating a new one and getting additional picks in the process.
