All of these ties and no one-off playoff games to break them.

It is a dying sport for a reason.

That is why they have the tie breakers, almost every sport has them including the NFL

Yanks tied but lost the head to head stuff so they are second as a result. If you want the crown, win the one's you need to get the crown. Yanks got what they earned and it may cost them

Same with every team that loses tie breakers.

The MLB had tie-breaker games and removed them.

Silly decision. Those games were epic.

problem is they really don't represent the teams very well. One game to decide really is just a luck game. That is why I like the tie breakers, it represents what you did during the season and your placement becomes what you were during the season.

Just my two cents, but I also remember when the two leagues were separate all together. No interleague play, and while I was young I remember when the playoffs was just the World Series. Change is not always a good thing, but adding rounds for the playoffs was a money grab but it also made the game better
