Should we pursue him?
What’s his trade value?

Without Maxx in the deal I am now up to a 2nd rounder for Vea. We used a 2nd rounder on Beck, so what the hell....rich72 wrote: Sun Aug 09, 2026 12:57 pm Vita Vea plus a 1st for Crosby sounds like a good trade. It would make via the equivalent of a 2nd round trade pick since we can probably get a 1st and 2nd for Crosby now that hes supposedly healthy.
More impact than the player with the most tackles for loss in the last 7 or so seasons????mranquales wrote: Sun Aug 09, 2026 11:50 am Vita Vea would have more impact on the line than Crosby does.
I'm down for that if we can sign him on a somewhat Raider friendly contract.Rabidraider wrote: Mon Aug 10, 2026 5:51 am Without Maxx in the deal I am now up to a 2nd rounder for Vea. We used a 2nd rounder on Beck, so what the hell....![]()
I disagree. We have some young, up and coming DTs but Maxx is almost irreplaceable. Elite pass rushers are not that easy to replace.mranquales wrote: Sun Aug 09, 2026 11:50 am Vita Vea would have more impact on the line than Crosby does.
Maxx has had a lot of injury problems the last couple of years, even though he wants to always play his body is breaking down more the older he gets.RunOverByHubbard wrote: Mon Aug 10, 2026 9:23 am I disagree. I think thats going to get curbed this year. That also makes him seem like he is better than he is when you compare the raw #s of a player who never leaves the field, to one who has a normal workload.rich72 wrote: Mon Aug 10, 2026 12:27 pm Maxx has had a lot of injury problems the last couple of years, even though he wants to always play his body is breaking down more the older he gets.
Maxx the last two years has been dealing with injuries in which has affected his play; hopefully the new coaching staff will limit Maxx to maybe playing 60% of the plays…and if the game is over at halftime meaning the raiders are losing by 20 points or more; to just bench him….Cruisin with Tooz wrote: Mon Aug 10, 2026 1:38 pm I think thats going to get curbed this year. It appears that Bill Williamson failed 4th grade English, then dropped out.raidersince63 wrote: Tue Aug 11, 2026 4:44 am Pros and cons...

He would make the better:
The have the means, but would investing so much in an aging player prudent?
the Buccaneers will likely want, at eaest, a Day 2 pick
But there are also enough potential hurdles that that has to be considered
The article says pretty much nothing. Here's a pearl of profound wisdom of the "water is wet" variety:
The more better players you can stack on your roster, the better.
