Two week away from this season being over. With another terrible team coming to town.

We also had a top 3 defense with the best secondary in the NFL. We also had a top 5 RB, TE and WR.
If I were building a team I would start with the line, both sides. It’s where it all begins.

And you wouldn't win anything without a QB. That's where it begins.

Disagree. Mahomes, Montana and Brady ain’t doing shit behind this line.

What about the "Suck for Luck" campaign the Colts didn't "acknowledge."
If Roger can f[raiders_icon]ck the Raiders he will. I can see us being the only team ever stripped of the first overall pick lol.

And Geno Smith wouldn't do shit behind an elite line. The days of winning as a game manager are in the past. You need a QB to even compete, let alone win.

Even if they found “something” they wouldn’t take number 1 overall. It would probably be our 3rd. What did Miami lose for offering to pay the coach for losses?

Building the line is paramount ..but now the you are in a position to draft 1. Absolutely you draft a QB. And if we aren't....find out what the price to move up.
Geno can suck again next year as long as he's under contract. Raiders will be once again in a position to draft top 5

I gave you a high five by mistake.

I never mentioned Geno and I don’t disagree, but the line is precisely where you start.
You don’t put the cart in front of the horse. I don’t argue a team needs a Qb, but exactly what good does that do if he can’t run an offense because he’s running for his life?
And no, I don’t want a game manager and never mentioned that, either.

You can do both at the same time. The Bears fixed their O line in one season and had their QB first. But you do not pass up the opportunity to take a franchise QB if its presented. Not for any O lineman.

You 100% go for the QB every time. We have 9 other picks and 100+ million in cap room. We can address the line on addition to possibly finally finding a franchise qb

Agreed...my only fear is will we have a new coach that is on the same page as the GM, as it pertains to the draft and the starting line up for next year and beyond? ...and using our best weapons in order to give them the best chance for us to win.

Fair enough and I didn’t disagree with that. All I’m saying is no matter how good the Qb, they’re not doing it just because they’re good. Even the best prospects not only need time to get used to the nfl, but needs time.

The future starts now for Marcus Mbow.
The rookie fifth-round pick will start Sunday at left tackle in place of the injured Andrew Thomas, and how Mbow fares against the Raiders — and likely in an encore start Week 18 against the Cowboys — could impact how the Giants address one of their biggest questions of the offseason.
Right tackle Jermaine Eluemunor, 30, is a free agent due for the first big multiyear contract of his career after a strong season, and the Giants’ willingness to pay the price tag could be tied to their confidence in whether Mbow is ready to be a full-time starting tackle when Thomas (hamstring) is healthy next season.
“Just getting the job done and whipping ass is all I want to do,” Mbow told The Post.

I suggested that you check your work two weeks ago. Once again, you are way off: Robert Gallery was drafted in 2004 but Wisniewski was drafted in 2011. The Raiders did not create a good line drafting them together. BTW, the Chargers took Phillip Rivers right after the Raiders took Gallery and the Cards took Fitzgerald (it has a Z in it). After Rivers, the Redskins took Sean Taylor. Eil Manning went #1 just before the Raiders took Gallery at #2.
Semantics aside (I do appreciate the clarity), you kind of proved my point without realizing it. The teams that ignored OL and drafted QB and skill positions did better.
My point is, the Raiders have spent a significant number of early picks on OL, and it hasn't amounted to anything. The very things that Raider fans are obsessed over (OL over everything) is exactly what the Raiders have done in the last two decades. In fact, all the bad teams do that. The good teams don't. In fact, Pete Carroll is knowns for having terrible offensive lines, yet he's been to two SBs.
