Predict the 2026 record - your realistic expectations

With Mendoza needing time to adjust, an unproven O line and what I consider average receivers, I’m not really expecting to light it up on offense.

Defensively, we should be at least middle of the pack. That should go a long ways in helping stack wins.

Having said that, we are improved across the board yet still more work to do. I would predict we have 6 wins this year, double what we had last year. If Pete can manage 3 last year, I have faith with a better coaching staff we can do better. If we can beat the teams we’re supposed to plus staying close in the 4th quarter against better talent, we have a punchers chance in some of those.

Personally, at least another year or two to make some real noise if we nail FA and the draft.

Don’t know about that; let see what the raiders have now for wr,s….they might end up having to bring in someone like Diggs….unless the raiders are just going to cancel this season and go with what they got as a learning platform for next season….

Competent QB.
Winner winner, chicken dinner.

actually he had 5 big games and bunch of games where he got only 3 or 4 target total...if he had avgd just 8 targets a game he would have been top 10 his catch rate was 83.3 % out of 102 targets

He had 28 receptions for 380 yards in 2 games against the Jets and Bills. He had a small amount of targets in those other games because he sulks and just jogs around if he isn't the fed the ball non stop. He would be a whiney bitch watching us feed Bowers and run the ball a ton. I doubt he wants to play for the Raiders and Im pretty confident he is the exact opposite of what Kubiak wants.

Diggs is yet another in a long line of "hey, look at me" type players and the exact opposite of what we need.

Bech is a question mark but I got a really good feeling about this guy. He doesn't have good hands, he has great hands. Mendoza would just need to get the ball close.

Maybe the coaching staff thinks Nailor can become a true 1

When Klint came in he was all about the team tape. Since they didn’t go after top end WRs in the draft I’m thinking him and Jonocko see something in Bech. If Kubiak was able to turn JSN into a star, I’m sure he can make Bech a solid WR.

Nailor is probably this year’s JSN in my opinion. And he will have a lot of help from Bowers demanding double teams and Jeanty with his home-run threat ability.

My dark horse in the receiving room is Thornton. With Bowers, Nailor and Jeanty getting all the attention, this leaves a speedy field stretcher open. Chip tried to make him the centerpiece by forcing him the ball. This year, he’s going to be a potent role player when we need a big play.

Also, I like how Spytek is going back to size and speed like the Raiders of old.

Bech is nowhere near JSN although has the potential to be a reliable, steady offensive threat. Like you said, Bech can be a solid go to guy but comparing him to a legit wr like JSN just isn’t realistic.

Meanwhile i could see Thornton not making the team

First year of the Mendoza experiment you don't need a "#1 WR." We have the ingredients to ensure success. A rookie QB needs a number of things to make it work. A great RB, and a great TE and a line that can protect, these things make the transition to the next level happen. Add to that a defense that can keep the games honest. Check, we added the pieces that will make it happen. Year two we will add a WR who can make defenses completely honest.

Rome was not built in a day. We put the pieces in place to make the Mendoza era happen. The build just takes a bit of time.

My guess is that Bech was a Spytek pick, or Pete would have given him some opportunities. So I have some hopes that he'll be much better in year 2 with a staff that believes in him and is willing to give him chances.

i agree, jsn was one of the best in college before getting to seahawks, kid had to fight thru lockett and metcalf and pete system in order to takeover and then exploded once he got thru em...dudes now top 2 wr in the league...
