And that has been echoed by every reputable site I have seen.DanKD wrote: Sun Sep 06, 2026 7:30 am I dont know, i never got the feeling Carr was lazy. He seemed like a hard worker though not necessarily on the thing he needed to. I dont think you can be that good of an NFL qb between the 20's without studying a lot.
Then he went to another team and got that coach fired too. He hand picked that team and still didn't do shit. That's patheticKillerRaider30 wrote: Sun Sep 06, 2026 8:40 am Over the next 9 years the Raiders should change coaches 6 times and OCs 4 times.
When Mendoza fails to develop you can start a new thread and tell us all why he never did shit.
Pathetic.
Isn't it too early in the day for the "hippy lettuce?"KillerRaider30 wrote: Sun Sep 06, 2026 8:40 am Over the next 9 years the Raiders should change coaches 6 times and OCs 4 times.

Very true, and yet it’s not Carr’s fault that he was an average QB that was kept as the starter too long because of overall organizational incompetence.Reno Hightower wrote: Sun Sep 06, 2026 8:37 am Bill Walsh once remarked that Steve DeBerg was just good enough to get a head coach fired. I always thought that description fit Derek Carr well.
Not to mention giving him a ton of money before playing even one snap in 2017 after his 2016 injury...and then trumped that by giving him another extension in 2022 with a NTC.Raider_Len wrote: Sun Sep 06, 2026 9:26 am Very true, and yet it’s not Carr’s fault that he was an average QB that was kept as the starter too long because of overall organizational incompetence.
At some point, the player needs to be responsible for his play on the field, his comments off the field and take ownership of his career. I got tired of the "all he needs is...." The pathetic part is when he got what he needed, it got piled on with more needs. Ultimately we kept that motherf[raiders_icon]cker rather than bring in a proven champ. That is the pathetic part of this.KillerRaider30 wrote: Sun Sep 06, 2026 8:40 am Over the next 9 years the Raiders should change coaches 6 times and OCs 4 times.

"Wait until he goes to a real team with a real defense". He did, he failed there too and he quit on that team tooAttyla wrote: Sun Sep 06, 2026 10:22 am At some point, the player needs to be responsible for his play on the field, his comments off the field and take ownership of his career. The Turd wouldn't stand for any QB on the roster that was a threat to him...Once he got wind of The Saints drafting a QB he quit with a "career ending shoulder injury" which miraculously still hasn't had surgery lmao.Raider_Len wrote: Sun Sep 06, 2026 9:26 am Very true, and yet it’s not Carr’s fault that he was an average QB that was kept as the starter too long because of overall organizational incompetence.
