Predict the 2026 record - your realistic expectations

With Mendoza needing time to adjust, an unproven O line and what I consider average receivers, I’m not really expecting to light it up on offense.

Defensively, we should be at least middle of the pack. That should go a long ways in helping stack wins.

Having said that, we are improved across the board yet still more work to do. I would predict we have 6 wins this year, double what we had last year. If Pete can manage 3 last year, I have faith with a better coaching staff we can do better. If we can beat the teams we’re supposed to plus staying close in the 4th quarter against better talent, we have a punchers chance in some of those.

Personally, at least another year or two to make some real noise if we nail FA and the draft.

pete had a lot of say on teh draft and free agency

Very good FA.
Good draft.
Competent QB.
You forgot the most important ingredients - competent coaching staff

Given that Pete only really played one draft pick - Jeanty - I have to wonder if that's the only Pete pick there was. Just my speculation.

I’m sorry if this doesn’t belong here but in a way it does. Please move or delete if inappropriate. Still makes me laugh every time.

I expect us to be less predictable with play calling, better clock management and less self inflicted penalties. Also expect less sacks given up and a much improved running game with Dennison coaching up the line. I expect our team overall to play much faster.
The confidence as a team will take time but next season is where it has to start. Culture takes time. Expecting to win or have a legitimate chance every time you take the field doesn’t happen overnight, but I expect change in the right direction. Don’t care so much about wins but instead competing and if we can do that the wins will come.

Where I can't predict wins and loses I can with conviction tell you:
Tom Brady (the owner in control of Mark), Kubiak, Janocko, Dennison, Miller, JPJ, Cousins, Nailor, Mendoza, Jeanty, Brock, Mayer, Heyward, Tre, Rob Leonard, Maxx, Kwity, Butler, Booker, Quay, Nakobe, Chinn and the rest are NOT coming out to lose.

Unlike last year.

Yeah, and I can see our new RB tandem as being a big factor in the passing game as well.

Def curious to see how Kubiak implements the RB split. I wouldnt be surprised to see Washington heavily involved and possibly even Hemby getting touches.

double rb attack, like seattle coming whatever you guys do in ff do not take ashton jeanty in the 1st rd the split is gonna be very close to 50/50 and we dont know who is gonna be the short yds guy

It will not be very close to 50/50. Washington will need to show much better in pass protection and holding on to the football before it gets remotely that close. If he gets 30% as a rookie, that's heavy involvement. But this won't be a Walker/Charb type split, at least right away.

Maybe Shedrick Jackson comes out of nowhere and lights it up, you never know.

charbs took over goal line duties and short yds as the big back, washington as the big back could takeover that role early on

Not to mention coaching Mendoza up to work under center, all of the handoffs to Jeanty out of the gun was infuriating to watch last season.
