Maxx Crosby’s agent CJ LaBoy posted this message on social media:
“Maxx continues to be on track in his recovery and if anything is ahead of schedule according to his surgeon Dr Neal El Attrache. Maxx remains on track to return during the offseason program & will undoubtedly return as the dominant game wrecker he has been these past 7 seasons.”

As reported by The Athletic’s Vic Tafur, owner Mark Davis went to Crosby’s house in January, with the two agreeing that a trade was best for both sides.
It’s not the first time that a failed physical on the Ravens’ end has scuttled a move. In 2018, the Ravens agreed to a four-year, $29 million deal with free-agent wide receiver Ryan Grant. However, the Ravens failed his physical because of concerns about his ankle, nullifying the deal.
The three-year, $106.5 million contract extension Crosby signed last March was loaded with guarantees but not a signing bonus, allowing the Raiders to trade him with a dead-cap charge of only $5.1 million. He has four years and $115.8 million remaining on his deal, which runs through 2029.

I think Hendrickson sitting there and probably only gonna command 25ish per has a lot more to do with this than Crosbys knees.
Hes believed to be asking 33-35. Why wouldnt he get that? He had 35 sacks over 2 seasons.

We'll see how the draft goes and those teams missing out on the coveted edge rusher will call.

Starting to hear some say that it’s a real possibility that the Ravens still acquire him, but for less. Makes sense really.

At best the Ravens organization looks incompetent. At worst they look like they pansies and backed out/got cold feet after their team got dismantled via free agency.
Either way, the Raiders FO should be on the phone to the NFL and demanding an investigation and if there is maleficence on the Ravens part? They should be docked draft picks.
Unfortunately I doubt we have any recourse. From what I’ve read, this maneuver is definitely taboo… but not a violation of any rule.
Realistically we should 100% be compensated for it. We’re going to take a big hit in his trade comp both in terms of teams being scared off by Baltimore’s doctors and from teams that already made other moves to address edge or tied up money they would’ve used to trade for Maxx.

This could spur Maxx to have an increased respect for the Raiders and want to prove the Ravens foolish. We will see. Biggest thing is getting all those guys to sign their contracts tomorrow. Regardless what happens with Maxx we still have Fernando Mendoza and Klint Kumbia
ok ... your take is valid. Yes the Ravens look foolish, very foolish.
at the other side ... Maxx's side ... he's going to give 200% effort no matter what. 200% as a Raven, 200% as a Las Vegas Raider (even if he doesn't want to be a Raider), 200% as a Chiefs player ... he will bring it, as long as he is physically able.
I pity the teams that have to play against him.

He wanted that but no one is offering that according to the insiders. Age and injuries are playing a role, which is why he’s still available.

Why would The Raiders even want to deal with Baltimore now?

Maxx will still get traded. They don’t want a distraction with the new Mendo era beginning.

That would be a bad play on our part. Hold out for what you want or keep the player. f[raiders_icon]ck them.

Because they may counter with a still acceptable offer. If you think they still have the best offer you do it.
