NFL Trade Deadline
Ok maybe this doesn’t need its own thread but the deadline is 5 weeks away. I know the next couple weeks will determine if we are buyers but let’s say we get to 5-2 do we make a move?
I really wish we still had Jakobi here but it sounds like a few guys might be available…
Brian Thomas Jr
Marvin Harrison Jr
Jerry Jeudy
Thoughts?

yep adding an pro bowl calibre guard in q and then drafting another one in the 3rd rd would have been perfectRabidraider wrote: Tue Oct 27, 2026 10:42 am The trenches win titles and spending to fix it does not bother me.
We will probably draft online with a 3rd rounder anyway.

Seahawks acquired Quenten Nelson from the Colts in exchange for a 2027 third-round pick and a 2028 fifth-round pick.
With the Colts’ season all but over, the team could trade away a series of key player as they look toward a total tear down/rebuild scenario following the 2026 season. That includes Nelson, an eight-time Pro Bowler who now has a chance to compete for a title now that he’s out of Indianapolis. Nelson will join a Seattle offensive line that ranks 21st in pass blocking win rate and 27th in run blocking win rate. His addition should be a boon for Sam Darnold and the Seahawks’ pass catchers. - Denny Carter

Gee, where do I begin? Brady owns a lot of businesses, mostly in the sports category, and he is printing money. Darnold? Gee, do you know if we made an offer? We were a horrible team in 2024 and he went to a playoff team. Wonder what the motivation was there. He could have refused any move to the Raiders. And well, golly gee, Brady and Spytek pivoted immediately after last year and generated quite a turn around. But back to 2025, we all know that the draft they put together had Carroll's thumbprint all over it. And gee, using the Jordan argument, how about the Magic argument? I believe Magic was part of the Dodgers ownership. And golly, Kraft did not offer Brady part ownership of the Patriots because, and this is well documented, Kraft wants to keep the ownership of the team within the family. It would be like asking why the Rooney's did not offer up some of the ownership to Bradshaw. And golly, round boy, you just completed my day. You argued against Dufus being a moron and then you argued for him being a moron. And thank you for that very last bit. It shows your agenda perfectly. Brady has seven rings, and I never argued that rings equal success. I have always argued that success breeds success. And that is what I maintain. As a business man, he has been successful. Just because a part time owner does not immediately turn around a football franchise, does not mean he is not moving it that direction. Dufus himself said Brady would be more involved going into this season and the early results, while not ideal, are certainly trending in the right direction.Sloth_Fratelli wrote: Tue Oct 27, 2026 11:33 am Nope they’re definitely not morons. That 2025 draft is an all timer isn’t it? How did Darnold do again? Isn’t it amazing how you’ve bestowed success onto Tom Brady even through though he’s shown NOTHING.
Can’t wait until you find about Michael Jordan’s GM experience.
Always love the argument that Mark is a moron yet a genius for putting Brady in charge.
You wannna explain to me why Kraft didn’t make him his partner?
Thanks for depressing me even more. We are stuck with another Mark when he’s not here….”he got 11000 rings! He winner! Derrrrr”
Gee wiz, skippy, does that answer all your questions?

Nelson does us little good this year. He is not going to resign with Seattle. He is going to the highest bidder. that may be Seattle, but we will have a shot at him. I think the trade from the Colts is good for us if we want him because he would be more likely to sign with the team he has already know. Now I think he is more likely to open it up.
