Yeah, every once in a while I'd think that those bastard Ravens would try to use their new found cap space to make a run at our new center. Then I'd remember that that would mean Linderbaum and his team would have to be as shady as DeCosta and his and I would feel better again.

Sadly when we got bit by the Crosby fiasco I let my mind get in the way of intelligent thought and wondered if there would be a domino affect that would crush this deal. I knew better intellectually but we have been bad so long I let it happen

Yep. The Crasby effect with Baltimore had me uneasy. I get he was agreed during the tampering window and its different than trades but just wanted to see this official.

For real, I think we all knew deep down this deal was going to be finalized, but the Crosby thing seemed to make anything possible and the delay in the announcement didn't help.

What made me thinking it would be unlikely was the ravens and Linderbaum were at odds all last year on his contract. Then he sees what they did to Maxx?
