Yep, this is a terrible abuse of the process, the Raven selfishly kept Crosby in the building in bad faith until they could be sure Hendricks would sign before declaring they're intention to back out of the deal. Not feeling bad for Crosby necessarily because its clear he forced this situation by demanding a trade to a contender but the Ravens are a low class organization.ALLRAIDERWORLD21 wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 1:49 pm f[raiders_icon]ck the Ravens, they were playing games the whole time..

Since the Ravens pulled out of this deal; it kinda make you think Max might be kinda worse off than anybody saying….I can live with Max staying a raider; but I think he really need to listen to the coaches and start playing less football….he got stop wanting to be in every defensive play and actually give his body rest time and when a game is over like the raiders losing 35-14 and starting the 4th quarter; just sit him out for rest of the game and save him for next week….
I don't think Maxx forced anything. From things I've read, Maxx and Mark talked and agreed to move on in December. No demands were made and it was an amicable agreement from both. I might be wrong here but, I think Maxx wanted to go to Chicago if he was traded.tatalalicious wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 2:06 pm Yep, this is a terrible abuse of the process, the Raven selfishly kept Crosby in the building in bad faith until they could be sure Hendricks would sign before declaring they're intention to back out of the deal. They dont lose their pick if that happens. At most they go 1 slot lower.Pseudoscot wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 2:18 pm PIcture the scene:
Draft night and the Ravens are on the clock.
Eric DeCosta is looking at his draft board and finalising the pick and word comes through that John Spytek is on line one.
"Eric, let bygones be bygones. I'm interested in your #14 pick. What will make it happen?"
Negotiations are frantic. The clock is ticking. Accord is reached.
"We'll send it through to the league now"
The clock keeps going but everyone is wating for the 'Trade' chryon to pop up. But it doesn't. The clock expires and nothing. Roger Goodell steps up to the podium and announces that the Ravens have missed their deadline.
DeCosta rings up Spytek and asks why the trade was held up.
Spytek smiles and just says "I changed my mind".
Well, a guy can dream.
The CBA does regulate trades. He did not pass the physical. If the doctor cannot sign off on a player the team can back out, Both sides agreed to this and it is negotiated every time the CBA is redone. Did they job the system? Probably. Is it right. Grey area, but how are you going to prove that? The doctors will have legitimate documentation in the form of scans. Nothing is going to happen to the Ravens and there is nothing we can do about it.raiderjohn wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 2:35 pm If the league does not penalize the Ravens, the league will operate with 31 teams, no GM in their right mind will want to do any business with the Ravens. Abused the Legal Tampering period. They watched the first 24 hours lapse without no Hendrickson agreement. Then keeps Maxx hostage in their building while talking to Hendrickson. GM's see the Ravens, call, they won't pick it up. Or some will and just rip into them. If the league strips the Ravens of say their 1st and 3rd round picks this year, then it will be business as usual for the 32 teams. Until there is some either penalty or regulation for trades, legal tampering period, a physical will always be your "Get out of Jail free card"
The audacity to keep Maxx there while negotiating with Hendrickson, is enough grounds to penalize the Ravens.
....and after we have all been informed that Maxx was on-site while they were negotiating with Hendrickson....this guy is a piece of sh... for this, alone....DrDUne wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 3:00 pm
“Nobody’s more upset about this than me”. The classic line for when you’re the one that’s wholly responsible.
