naw, disagree big time, max is one of the top 3 when it comes to complete and elite defensive end in teh n.f.l "sacks, tackle for loss, pressure and vs running" there is a lot more to playing d/e then just sacks
at this time im wanting to keep madmax on the team for life...dudes makes our team much betterRI RAIDER wrote: Sat Mar 14, 2026 9:57 am I wonder if the Commanders make a play for him. They have the space and have a better pick than the Ravens. In fact, their pick may be in the catbird position (grabbing an elite player who always drops).
Paye has had seasons where he had 8 sacks. He's good enough. I just don't see him as an OLB in a 3-4. We could draft a nose tackle in the 2nd round. But Paye and Crosby are too undersized to be 3-4 DEs.NewEraX25 wrote: Fri Mar 13, 2026 5:22 am Paye isn't that good, and Maxx would still get abused by OT's and double teams. If we can get a monster NT, then Maxx might just be able to get to the QB in a 3-4.
I think De Costa is covering his ass for backing out of an agreement which while well within his rights, was still a bush league move. He would get more respect if he simply owned it.eastcoast128 wrote: Sat Mar 14, 2026 7:24 pm I live in MD and the Crosby trade no-trade has been consuming a ton of time on sports talk shows. A local reporter (from the Baltimore Banner I think ) believes Eric De Costa (Ravens GM) got cold feet considering the amount of screening of medicals before the trade took place. Have the Raiders spoken publicly on the issue?
De Costa, appearing on a local talk show, seemed to imply he did not have everything timely
we know this is not the case and decosta is no longer seen as a straight shooter on agreements but a douche who backs out of deals like a coward cause he cant handle what critics sayeastcoast128 wrote: Sat Mar 14, 2026 7:24 pm I live in MD and the Crosby trade no-trade has been consuming a ton of time on sports talk shows. The only teams that should be interested in spending two 1sts for a top DE are teams that are in the hunt for a superbowl and need one top player to get them there. So most teams that fit that profile are teams likely picking from picks 25 to 32. We were lucky as Ravens had a bad year but considered a team in the hunt. I dont see any other teams in the hunt that are picking near 15 or below. Its Not logical to think we will get the value of two 1st round picks near 15. Only a Fans logic would be that obsurdCruisin with Tooz wrote: Sat Mar 14, 2026 9:15 am How is #25 and #60 close to equal value to what the Ravens were offering? Because 25 is close to 14 and 60 is close to another top 15 pick???? If Chicago gave 2 1sts, it still wouldnt be close to the same offer.
on top of that the ravens hinted it was the injury and failed physical which hurt max's value going forward...f[raiders_icon]ck the ravens and decosta for being posRaiderFan1 wrote: Sun Mar 15, 2026 10:17 am The only teams that should be interested in spending two 1sts for a top DE are teams that are in the hunt for a superbowl and need one top player to get them there. If the rules allow them to back out of the deal, regardless of their reasons, then what’s the point?Raider_Dave wrote: Sun Mar 15, 2026 11:26 am I still don't understand why the NFL can't have an independent Doctor look at the medical report to determine of the Ravens acted in bad faith.
