It looks like this guy can catch the kind of placement balls that Mendoza likes to throw.

(Stuck this in the wrong thread)
His career game. And this is with McCarthy throwing him the ball. Fits Kubiak’s desire for toughness and willingness to block at the WR position. Dirty, not “diva”.
And college…

Is this a good thing for Bech?

Just hazarding a guess, but I think this affects Thornton more. Thornton needs to learn routes better, and is more straight go route. Bech can block along with Nailor, and they both have strong hands. Toughness seems to be the name of the game for Coach K.

How many of you who dislike the signing have even seen Nailor play? Highlights not included. The Vikings loved this guy. Keep in mind ball distribution. Jeanty, Bowers, Mayer, Bech, Tucker, Nailor.
Did I read someone say he's nothing but a deep threat?! Lol! If you really haven't even seen the dude play why spout off bullshit? Bizarre. Go look at how much receivers are getting paid.

This isn't an epic signing but it's fine and allows the team to be patient at WR. There's enough there to function, and not so much that you'll bypass a real opportunity if one comes along.

Was he in Minnesota when Kubiak was there? If so I'll trust Kubiak on this one
Kubiak was done at the end of 2021 along with Mike Zimmer. He was in Denver before Nailor was drafted in April 2022.

Not a sexy signing, guess we will see during the season if it was a good signing. Gotta trust the Spy and KK

The Athletic gave this signing an A.
WR Jalen Nailor joins Raiders
Top 150 ranking: 27
Reported deal: 3 years, $35 million
Grade: A
Nailor was one of my favorite players in this year’s class because of his upside. The 2022 sixth-round pick only caught 29 passes for 444 yards last season. But he was playing alongside Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison, and he was dealing with subpar quarterback play. But the film showed a player who was open often. He has the traits to be a much more productive player in a bigger role, including inside-outside flexibility, yards-after-the-catch ability, play speed to push vertically and the spatial awareness to find holes against zone coverage. The Raiders are preparing to take Fernando Mendoza with the No. 1 pick. They were lacking at receiver after trading away Jakobi Meyers last season. This is a slam-dunk signing for Las Vegas. — Popper

...supposedly, we beat the broncos, vikings and patriots, who all were chasing this dude as well....
