Don't see anything about this. Was surprised to see his name on Raiders transactions waived.

kubiak and staff r trying to replicate the seahawks for sure ...rebuild oline and establish a strong run game on offense and strong secondary, linebackers and dline front that can hold the point...were missing a few pieces still but we r getting thereArsenal Raider wrote: Mon May 04, 2026 11:03 pm The Superbowl winning Seahawks (with our new coach) and the National Champion Indiana Hoosiers (with our new QB) were both much stronger (talent-wise) than the sum of their parts.
From what we've seen so far this off-season, the Raiders are attempting to build the roster with the same approach.
No. He was a minimum salary guy.Danchinho wrote: Tue May 05, 2026 6:40 am Does that give us more salary headroom if we want to go after another player in free agency?
That and the possibility we may have got a better player in Cian Slone as an UDFA. Lots of potential with this kid that comes with a high motor.Attyla wrote: Thu May 07, 2026 11:03 am So the rumor is that Snowden is dealing with stuff off field? No offense to Kennedy but I think he just is not good enough to make the final roster so they cut bait to give him a chance to latch on elsewhere.
Talent -> tolerance. Snowden isn't talented enough to weather the storm of multiple off field issues. If it's true that he had an off field issue, that makes more sense than just cutting him for football reasons. He's dirt cheap and has enough experience to provide depth and camp competition. Losing him isn't anything to get worked up over though - he hasn't played a ton of games, but he's also not young enough that you think there's a breakthrough ahead. And with Snowden, it’s not really about what he can do, for me it’s what he can’t do with not being able to stay out of troublesome situations on top of the list for me. I mean, it’d be one thing if he was a top DE in the league, but he’s just not.

Also "culture change" was mentioned a lot last year, but I'm hoping that the "culture change" is the real deal for the Raiders in 2026...it's been a long time coming.
I will expose the elephant in the room.DrDUne wrote: Sat May 09, 2026 9:44 am Not once in the history of this board has anybody muttered the phrase;
“Boy, I hope Charles Snowden makes a play here.”
I have zero issue seeing the new guys take all of those snaps to find out what we have in them.
That's how I see Maxx.erickench wrote: Tue May 12, 2026 9:12 pm He deserved better I thought. He would've made a great 3-4 OLB in the mold of Ted Hendricks.
This plus the staff may see more potential on very cheap contracts with Gary Smith and Cian Slone. You never know the truth on hearing all the positive buzz during rookie camps, click bait and all. Plus we got younger, which seems to be a real focus and i love it.KillerRaider30 wrote: Wed May 13, 2026 8:58 am With Koonce and the Rookie there's not much room for him. Those are the 2 rotational edge rushers or OLB.
A starter and backup or however you want to look at it.
Maxx and Kwity are the ends with some of the 3t backingthem up.
