It's that time again, fantasy football time. Entry fee is $50 this year and it's first come first serve. I'll set up TWO 0.5 PPR leagues 12 players each league on Yahoo like every year and draft day will be August 23 at 5pm for one league and 6:30 PM. The second league.

I have no dog in this because I am not playing, but kickers have determined many games over the years so while not a huge part of the game overall, the impact is huge on final standings over the years.

The trick with kickers is you just have to know how to draft one. Teams scoring a bunch of tds aren't going to have a kicker of much value to a fantasy team. You need to pick one from a team that stalls out in the redzone/isn't a td machine

Yeah, I don’t think it’s, kickers don’t matter. I think the issue is that, the kicker shouldn’t be a determining factor to winning or losing in fantasy. A team getting a couple points from one &, the other team getting 20+, & that being the reason for the outcome is what should be eliminated. I believe that is the reasoning. Replace the kicker with another position would be more reasonable.

But again, I don’t mind. Just here to have fun. It’s not a high stakes league.

One league I played in, got rid of the dedicated te spot. They made it a rb/wr/te flex spot

Whoa. I wouldn’t do that at all. TE’s are being used more & more now. Myself, I like to have reflect closer to what the actual NFL does.

Take the best one available in the last round.

With how often teams go for it on 4th and the increase in two point conversion attempts, I can see why some would want it eliminated.

I also see the value in the bonus points for 60+ yarders and what not.
