Finally cut the cable after bill went over $250 a month for crap I never watch.

Scumbag Comast still hitting me with $95 a month on 500 speed Internet. It is what it is...

I get Netflix, Apple, Prime and Max which cover 95% of what we watch.

Just looking for the locals CBS, NBC, ABC and Fox for football.

Tried two antennas but they dont work where I am located without a major project going up on the roof or attic.

Any decent 4k options for the locals?

Thanks!

I'm on Osborn Island and the building in the distance is Atlantic City. To the left of the city is Brigantine. Beach Haven is in the other direction north. Picture is facing south.

I was having really bad service from my AT&T landline phone, got a mint phone from best buy and I was up and running for 15 bucks a month. I also cut my comcast TV cable service, but I kept the xfinity internet service for like 70 a month. I think they are doing away with both cable and telephone in a couple of years. Im guessing they arent putting anymore money into those 2 infrastructures, just the most basic of maintenance.

Mine in the Vsee 6 plus. Top model right now.
Its up front cost is about $350 but that's it.
Easy to setup, but I recommend a guest network and a VPN
For me certain channels gave me some slow buffering, but 95% have been fast. Still playing around with it.
If I get 2 months or a full regular NFL season its worth it. Mine even came with a NFL game app built in....

My friend is coming over tonight to install it for me. Any last second advice other than

Guest network and VPN?

TIA

Get Nord VPN if you use a VPN. I tried Proton and it caused some buffering. Thats what I get for trying to save a couple of bucks.

Watched the game last night and the picture was perfect. Now I even get the Raider announcers.

But why Alaska political ads in Vegas...lol

Why do you need a VPN to use it? Have you tried it out on MLB extra innings? Any buffering issues when watching sports? I ask because whenever I watch Amazon prime thursday night game, the buffering makes it unwatchable. Do the streaming providers ever take countermeasures against the box like encryption?

The person that is bringing it over and installing it for us has been using it for years and says a guest network and VPN isn’t necessary as they have never had any issues. I’m new to this so can anybody explain to me the pros and cons to the above

Every sport channel has worked fine. Yes Network, MLB, and any football game I've watched. My biggest issue is watching old series like NCIS, Dexter and ER. Get some buffering for some reason.

The guest network is to protect your other devices, the VPN is to prevent your Internet provider from cutting you off. I do lots of financial stuff on my computer and don't want to risk any problems.

The guest network is free and easy. Why take a chance?

Many routers use this 192.168.0.1 number to access your router menu so you can add a guest network.

Put it in your address bar to see if it work. If it does, sign in (admin and password) and you will see where to put in a usename and password for the "Guest Network." Save settings.

Then when you add your box it will ask for your wifi or hardwired network usename and password and use your new guest info.

Done!

Doesnt a buffering problem occur when a large # of people are streaming? I guess the litmus test is going to be during a regular season game. Can the streaming service put in security measures like scrambling that stop your box from working?

Just installed the VeeSee and it friggin rocks. No VPN yet but I sign in as guest on the apps. Watching movies now and clear as a bell. Supposedly I can watch football with tons of options. Split screen with two games etc
