The kid looks like crap and there's no sugar coating it.
Obviously it's way too early to tell how his career is going to go, but for now, it's a big relief to know we don't have to put him out on the field yet during a real game.
He has not exactly taken the game by storm but in fairness to him, he's not playing with many 1st stringers.

Side Jeanty note -
Halftime took an elevator to the dessert cart and JEANTY was in it. He was NOT in a walking boot. No crutches, no assistance. Wearing tennis shoes and walked completely normal out of the elevator to the locker room.
I know this seems trivial but I haven’t seen a lot of news about him. I’m not saying he’s healthy, I’m just saying he’s wearing Nike shoes and walking without a limp.
The dessert (upside down it seems), lol;

With the exception of Linderbaum, he played with the 1's on his first series. I think that's the one where he threw the pick. He's also looked bad against the other team's #2's in the last two games.
I'm just sayin'... I'm glad we have Cousins to start the season.

Yeah, it seems pretty obvious that Mendoza will not start game 1. Cousins deserves to get the start instead.

Mendoza has not played well. I think he will be fine but this should temper expectations. Looks like he does indeed need to sit for a while.

Impossible. I was told repeatedly on here that he gave the team the best chance of winning and he was the best qb on the roster without even taking a snap in any kind of game action. Kubiak and Co needed to do the right thing and start him

Cousins is better at the moment but his arm looks baked. I don’t see the zip in his throws. Mendo will likely play sooner rather than later

I was hoping he would finish looking decent so we could trade him but he is what he is. Yuck
