On to the Bills
Back home, spread should be around 6.5 or so.
Let' go back to being competitive. Discuss. Bills have not won a SB. This is my way of saying we are better than them. I know, it does not help.

Hoping for a win for selfish reasons: living in western NY. The bills fans will be insufferable, more so than normal.

So Cousins now has 3 good games, 1 ok game and 1 bad game and was the bad game on him or the D dictating to our Offense what they will allow? If they want to go Mendoza fine, but one bad game and it's like that for Cousin's? We forget and disregard the rest and put total weight on what you did last game as this is who you now are going forward? That's what Brown's fans do.Oaktownonly wrote: Sun Oct 11, 2026 5:13 pm The Bills are ranked 27th in pass defense. What would it hurt to start Mendoza at home? Does Cousin's really give us the best chance to win. This reminds me of when teams stacked the box with Carr because he would throw to his check down all the time.
And why was Cousin's bad yesterday? Relentless pressure what I prefer Mendoza not to face immediately. We failed the offseason with the oline overall and now we have to wait another year to address it properly. The moment you fix the oline the QB, RB's and yes even the WR's all of a sudden become a lot better. Like magic.

Raiders drafted Mendoza to be the QB of the future; he not going to learn while standing on the sideline; basically opposing team are crowding the box which either means that they don’t fear Cousin Arm strength; would they be doing that if Mendoza was the QB….we might not win many games with Mendoza the starting QB; but it will be learning experience for him in which in 2027 he be a better QB for it….SkullCrusher wrote: Mon Oct 12, 2026 8:47 am So Cousins now has 3 good games, 1 ok game and 1 bad game and was the bad game on him or the D dictating to our Offense what they will allow? Even if they are two O-linemen short and two D-backs short, I don't think we stop Allen and I don't think our running game will suddenly shine.raider_kin wrote: Mon Oct 12, 2026 8:36 am We better hear about some personnel changes for the Bills

Hopeful for a competitive game. Hope Washington gets 10-20 carries.
If the game isn't competitive, I would like to see Mendoza play again, maybe for a full quarter.

If I had to guess, comfort level in the offence is the reason Mendoza’s not starting yet. I think a lot of what’s made our passing game work is the flexibility Kirk has at the line. I’m sure they probably prefer Mendo to have that same comfort level in the offence to do the same. May just be the case right now that Mendo’s gonna be running a more scripted offence at this point in his development.SuperRaider wrote: Mon Oct 12, 2026 9:49 am Raiders drafted Mendoza to be the QB of the future; he not going to learn while standing on the sideline; basically opposing team are crowding the box which either means that they don’t fear Cousin Arm strength; would they be doing that if Mendoza was the QB….we might not win many games with Mendoza the starting QB; but it will be learning experience for him in which in 2027 he be a better QB for it….
And don’t get me wrong I want to see Mendoza sooner rather than later too. But I think it also makes sense they don’t want ti rush it. The worst thing that happens isn’t just that we lose - it’s that he gets overwhelmed, loses confidence, and develops bad habits that can be hard to fix.
Ideally you want him to know the offence like the back of his hand, so he’s competing against the defence only - not against the defence + an offensive system he can’t fully run.

I don't necessarily disagree but I'll die on the hill that he didnt get enough (if any) reps with the 1s all offseason. That's also why I cant and wont judge him for his preseason play.raiders93 wrote: Mon Oct 12, 2026 12:48 pm If I had to guess, comfort level in the offence is the reason Mendoza’s not starting yet. Spy treats his draft capital like an old lady and her coin purse. STINGY!!! And I’m all for it. Build a foundation through the draft. Until then, little pickups like this. It ain’t exciting, especially after the shellacking we took this weekend, but slow and steady wins the race.

Maybe a diamond in the rough? Which team is tanking and do they have anyone we would be interested in.GoodTimeCharlie wrote: Mon Oct 12, 2026 4:33 pm Spy treats his draft capital like an old lady and her coin purse. STINGY!!!
