Because, stay with me here, no matter how you math it out...two first round picks are better than one first and one second rounder

And anyone in their right mind would take the Baltimore deal. Stop using hindsight in this situation

Glad we said no. I think that's shit compensation for a top 5 player at his position.

I don’t think the majority of our fans realize how good Maxx is. If there were other pieces around him and/or we actually had a lead for a change it would be more obvious.

I was on board with Maxx going for two 1st rounders to help a total rebuild. Our defense was weak outside of Maxx, but with the moves the team made in free agency being so outstanding in my opinion, adding Maxx back sure makes the D look very very good.

If that makes sense...

I think Maxx see's it too...

With that stated, he will get traded to Dallas on draft night for #12 and a 2027 #2...

"Initial offers centered on Dallas' second first-round pick at No. 20, and defensive tackle Osa Odighizuwa. The Cowboys then offered their top first-rounder at No. 12 and a third-round pick. Ultimately, the Cowboys moved to No. 12 and their second-round pick, but the last two offers, sources said, did not include Odighizuwa, who was traded to the San Francisco 49ers for a third-round selection,"
Should have traded his ass imo. :paperbag:

Or Maxx's knee explodes this year and they end up looking like geniuses.

And I think he is mid outside of his run stopping ability. I think a lot of people are going to be surprised when they see his numbers if he sits 20-25% of the snaps. I personally think that out of all the elite pass rushers he has the worst rush technique. Add another knee injury, another surgery, another rehab, and I can't help but to feel that his best years are behind him. I'd love to be wrong, and hope I am, but I don't think I am.

If true we will know by the end of this season, I sure wouldnt sign him to a big extension in the near future.

You wouldn’t, but Doofus sure as hell would. Put a lock on that door Spy and hide under the desk if Doofus is lookin’ for ya.

On a bright note, Maxx seems far less concerned with the removal and/or tarnishment of his “shine” lately. So you know, that’s nice.

Come on Jerruh, bring that Blue Label on back to the negotiation table. Being front and center of the news cycle is WAY better than making sound decisions.

And if Maxx stays, that’s great. Happy happy. Kumbaya.

Maxx's injury is more a degenerative type problem vs a structural support issue like an ACL, PCL, MCL. When he heals he will be fine. If his knee fails I doubt it will have anything to do with his meniscus. Will end up with arthritic knees eventually.

Maxx got an extension last year and has 4 years left on it with two of those years guaranteed. We absolutely can't talk contract right now - not just because of Maxx's particular situation, but also because of the precedent it sets for other players on the roster now and in the future.

I feel like he will barely be able to walk once he retires but hes going to give all of his body while he is playing.
