It’s that time of year for us to dog fight about who’s college team is better.
Best way to start it out IMO is with the preseason coaches poll that just dropped:
Preseason Coaches Poll
1.Ohio State
2.Oregon
3.Georgia
4.Texas
5.Notre Dame
6.Indiana
7.Miami
8.Texas A&M
9.Oklahoma
10.Ole Miss
11.Alabama
12.Texas Tech
13.LSU
14.USC
15.BYU
16.Michigan
17.Penn State
18.Tennessee
19.Washington
20.SMU
21.Utah
22.Iowa
23.Clemson
24.Houston
25.Missouri
We all know who are backing after that last few years but the 2026 season is almost upon us.
For my own part, this year is special I’m attending my first home game ever at ND on 9/12.

makes you wonder how much of Oregon's success over the past few years was Will Stein rather than Dan Lanning...
With the way he has Kentucky playing this year, he looks like the coach to watch. He may not be at Kentucky very long. could see one of the big name schools going after him soon.

So weird.
Texas loses and drops five, someone else loses and doesn’t drop at all.
Funny that.
Yeah that tends to happen when you're the number 1 ranked team in the nation and you lose to an unranked Oklahoma team.

Not my point at all.

U of W head coach Jedd Fisch want's to complain about NIL funding, (or lack thereof) yet that program chose to partake in the PAC 12's mass exodus rather than stand firm and try to save one of the most storied conferences in the NCAA. Were there challenges trying to compete with the other Power Five? Absolutely. Could solidarity and resourcefulness helped mitigate those challenges, absolutely.
Time to boil in your own stew. Sorry Viper.

Yeah, Arch Manning is really not looking anywhere as good as advertised. Remember all the “analysts” that said the Raiders should pass on Mendoza because 2027 was going to loaded with QB’s? Suddenly the upcoming draft is not looking so hot QB wise. Other than Mestermaker I cannot see a clear first rounder there.

In the last 5 years, 6 if you want to include the upcoming draft, 2024 is the only year where Mendoza wouldn’t have been drafted 1st.

although Tennessee beating Alabama #10 vs. #6 isn't exactly an upset

and last
Arch Manning is so overrated. just because of his last name and shares 'some' of the same blood with two guys that were pretty good NFL quarterbacks. If there isn't some quick turnaround in his play, I don't see him picked till 3rd round at best probably closer to 4th round.
