No clue where to post some stuff not necessarily team related but could be? Feel free to delete if this belongs somewhere else.
Maxx and Parsons would be nasty. I probably wouldn’t pay the price though.

They should allow some sort of review on dpi. Not sure if it would be a challenge thing, or just in the last 2 minutes, or what, but calls that absolutely decide games are too important.

They did try but, as I recall, NO challenges were reversed. Hmmmm.Jeevo wrote: Thu Oct 01, 2026 12:06 pm They should allow some sort of review on dpi. Not sure if it would be a challenge thing, or just in the last 2 minutes, or what, but calls that absolutely decide games are too important.

I wrote the other day for DPI to be overturned by a ref:Jeevo wrote: Thu Oct 01, 2026 12:06 pm They should allow some sort of review on dpi. Not sure if it would be a challenge thing, or just in the last 2 minutes, or what, but calls that absolutely decide games are too important.
PI call on D, Defense Challenge: They defender would have to show zero contact once the ball is in the air, they'll use anything possible to keep that DPI and by the book that's all you need. (Ram's did have some contact)
PI not called, Offense Challenge: Either they have to 180 the above or each team would get a free PI call per game. Because it will be easy to find a pass where there is contact while the ball is in the air that isn't called.
How's 'bout the game made it this far and we just need to deal with it. Ram's shouldn't have blown the lead. Ram's now get to dig out of a hole, everyone's been there and done that.

Absolutely, but certain calls are so bad and when they decide games it seems unfair I guess? Sure they blew the lead but they also held on and won anyway, if the call was made correctly that is. Besides the myriad of other eviewable plays hasn't runied the game. I looked it up after raiderboyron said it and they tried it in 2019 and 24 of 101 were overturned. It would only be on overturning calls and not on ones that wern't called. I realize it's a minefield but ...SkullCrusher wrote: Thu Oct 01, 2026 12:16 pm I wrote the other day for DPI to be overturned by a ref:

There is offensive and defensive holding on every play. It just depends on how much the refs will let them get away with. Some more than others. They will never do replay on flags for this reason.

Again we all made it this far, Ram's get to feel some pain, we've had for decades.Jeevo wrote: Thu Oct 01, 2026 12:23 pm Absolutely, but certain calls are so bad and when they decide games it seems unfair I guess? The problem with PI review, is it will become really B&W and the defender will have almost always illegally touched and they'll go with that to save face.
Totally not against reviewing this or anything else. I just feel I know how they'll operate.
Obviously then Unnecessary Roughness and holding should be on the docket then to.
Holding calls (called or missed) happen well more often than PI's.

It is a subjective call. Subjective calls need to be left alone.

I found it interesting that the ref standing closest to the play, presumably with the best vision of the entire play, did not call the DPI. It was a ref further away who threw the flag.SkullCrusher wrote: Thu Oct 01, 2026 11:50 am I'm sure they've been educated plenty, it's going to happen.
He still touched him, so on review they refs would have still gone by what they called.
The only thing I can come up with and it's more ratings!!!
Public Whacking, three to the butt on TV to the official that makes a bad call.
That's the only way for any satisfaction.

Interesting for sure, but this happens all the time in all sports.Atlasffa wrote: Thu Oct 01, 2026 1:17 pm I found it interesting that the ref standing closest to the play, presumably with the best vision of the entire play, did not call the DPI. It was a ref further away who threw the flag.
Not always the closest ref is making the call for a variety of reasons.
There isn't any rules about who can or can't because they understand focus and angles play a big role.

Trayvon Mullen had one 86’d at KC from a coach’s challenge.raiderboyron wrote: Thu Oct 01, 2026 12:10 pm They did try but, as I recall, NO challenges were reversed. Hmmmm.
