The Raiders finish the year off against the Chiefs.
Will the tank make it all the way home?

In any case it turned out to be a terrible move, as did Carroll. I really didn’t see it turning out so horribly.Corleone wrote: Sun Jan 04, 2026 7:14 pm yes, it benefits the team to pretend they wanted to keep him, it keeps the trade value up, and got the Raiders to pay up a 3rd rounder. It was a very shrewd move to pretend they wanted to keep Geno.
If the raiders had lost and gotten the 33rd pick I guarantee you would have had issues with them not trading back into the bottom of the first for the flavor of the day. There's always a better player to be had once you're past pick 1.1.HolyRoller wrote: Sun Jan 04, 2026 4:27 pm How stupid - win a meaningless, terrible game - during the draft you can see what this cost us. I guarantee not having that first pick of the 2nd round will be painful.
That'll work!DanKD wrote: Sun Jan 04, 2026 5:43 pm I highly doubt it. Dallas needs cost controlled assets. I see other teams going harder for Maxx
What is his record against KC?
I disagree. We’ve been in similar positions for the better part of the last 25 years. Rarely is the pick cut and dry and usually there is a wrong pick (which we seem to gravitate toward). The difference between 9 and 12 is dependent on the year. When we got Bowers at 13, we were the beneficiary of 6 highly rated QB’s being draft eligible. This year there are only 2 ( possibly 3, if Simpson comes out) highly rated QB’s which limits the blue chip prospects. I’m no talent evaluator so I can’t say who they will pick vs who they could have picked but I’ll guess that they’ll be picking between similarly rated prospects.Xramfan wrote: Sun Jan 04, 2026 7:55 pm As I mentioned earlier I’m more upset at how happy chiefs fans are for moving up to the 9 spot with this loss. Fk them. I think if they won they would be at 12 or so???? Big difference
Tankathon has them getting Spencer Fano. I'd hate to see that.Pfish252000 wrote: Sun Jan 04, 2026 9:44 pm I disagree. We’ve been in similar positions for the better part of the last 25 years. Like I said, I’m no talent evaluator but I must ask, is there not a player projected to be available at 12 that you’d hate to see them get?Raider_Dave wrote: Sun Jan 04, 2026 10:11 pm Tankathon has them getting Spencer Fano. I'd hate to see that.
Never know who's going to be a hit or a bust, but every mock I've seen has Fano as the top OT in the draft and going very high. Maybe someone will grab him before Chiefs... but yeah... whoever they get at 9 or 12 will be someone we will probably hate them gettingPfish252000 wrote: Sun Jan 04, 2026 10:14 pm Like I said, I’m no talent evaluator but I must ask, is there not a player projected to be available at 12 that you’d hate to see them get?
We got the number one pick; and we beat the chiefs….I am not programmed to root against the raiders; it not in my DNA….Xramfan wrote: Sun Jan 04, 2026 4:39 pm How many spots did the chiefs gain by losing?
Where do we pick on day 2 now?
The chiefs “won” by losing to us
