Fire Patrick Graham

We have a fire Chip Kelly thread, why not fire PG? Our D sucks. We couldn't even stop them in the second half. Players are getting burnt. He hasn't really devolped anyone, we have zero pressure except for Maxx and he is being trippled teamed. Anyone else ready to move on?

I'm primarily referring to his completion percentage and yardage, which always made him grade out higher than what his actual on the field performance was. For his last 3-4 years we average around 19-20 ppg, but PFF always had him ranked pretty high and the Carrstans always pointed to that.
It also makes me vomit when outsiders look at his stats and say he was the best QB to ever play for the Raiders.
Here is my list of guys better than that guy. And I meddling now lol
Hoss was grittier and grit matters
LaMonica had that beautiful bomb and his touch was better, and LaMonica could take a hit
Gannon, tough as nails and a real leader of men. Only guy other than Montana that could get in Rice's grill
Plunkett, another tough as nails guy who was best on the big stage
Stabler, this guy was everything you think of when you think of the traditional Raiders
Tom Flores, OK, now I am picking nits, but football knowledge wise, he ranks higher
Blanda makes the list because of his ability to come in and clean up a mess at a moments notice
JaMarcus Russell, yes he makes the list. He could out eat that guy and it is not even close.
But seriously, 7 of those guys were better Raiders.

Carr’s been gone for three seasons now. Will some of you ever move on for crying out loud? Are you guys also stalking ex-girlfriends because you can’t let go? Weirdos.
He's a good analogue for a lot of reasons. Unrealized potential, stat king, etc. So when the same issues arise with other players he's a good go-to.

Nobody ever gets that triggered when we talk about other former players. We bash JaMarcus from time to time and nobody ever gets uptight. We talk about Gannon and nobody ever says "he's retired, move on." Should I whisper Stabler's name in the dark recesses of the internet simply because he is no longer with us? Carr was our QB for, what 9 seasons. He should be able to be talked about in the context of where conversations are going. He is the most recent big name former player so he is going to get his comparisons. We are going to talk about games he played for us in the context of posts. He even has his own thread in s sub forum. He get bashed to hell there.
Sorry to bring this up but Todd Marinovich has a new book out. "Marinovich, Outside the Lines In Football" which focuses on his art and addiction. HIs son is playing high school football too.
Want a Marinovich hat?

Nobody is going to get uptight over Marinovich even if that hat is ugly as sin.

Carr looked pretty average on paper. There were no eye popping stats outside of maybe 4th quarter comebacks and passing yards. He never improved after the 2016 season and part of me believes that injury he sustained made him play a much more pussified brand of football. I wanted him to stay not bc he was great or anything, but because we could do much worse and we have ever since he left.
Carr is a mixed bag. I thought 2015 was his best season to be honest. He gutted out a tough win in Denver against the eventual Super Bowl champs December of 2015 that made me think that he and that young team had arrived, which they did, but after 2017 he was a washed up. The why's are debatable and I don't think it matters anymore.
Watching him conclude his Raiders career was like enduring a root canal for five seasons. The optics were about as bad as the results. He still had some good moments but it was obvious he would never be what the Raiders needed for a QB.
Bill Walsh once said that Steve De Berg was just good enough to get his coach fired. I think that also fits Derek to a tee.
First rate person though. He has done some very honorable things off of the field.

Just not gonna win professional football games with a QB that deprived of masculinity.
The only news related to him I’m curious to hear about is the eventual restraining order against Fly.

Its tough to gauge our defense when our offense cant sustain any drives. The entire team dynamics are lopsided.

I'll say this. I would even rate Marc Wilson higher than Carr. Wilson's biggest issue were injuries. He had 50 starts and won 31 of those games for those stacked Raider teams. He never wore mascara either.

No I don't, but I would also like to think that none of my exes would drop the football to break their fall in an NFL game.

Carr was our QB for 9 seasons and he had some great games and he had some crappy games….think the guy owe all the raider records as a QB….
Truth is; his replacement for last few years; Garo, Gino, AOC and Minny were all worst than Carr….so it might have been a different story if Carr was still on the team…I know, I know, I know…gotta move on

The dopes here said any QB could replace Carr and do better. Reality proved differently.

75% of the morons on here and Twitter were saying we'd get better once Carr "the pussy" was gone.
f[raiders_icon]cking clowns... Saints fans said the same thing and wanted Rattler or Winston to start, well all of you clowns and Saints fans got your wishes.
Two f[raiders_icon]cked franchises with shit QBs and no end in sight

Carr wasnt it unless you like to win only 7 games per season. No one else has been it yet either, we need to keep looking till we find the right QB.

Talking intelligently to that worm isn’t worth your breath.
